This week is nothing. However late next week could a large storm around. Likely rain here of course. Maybe a severe maker down south.

There is a crash in AO coming up but it's more like a crash from off-the-charts (literally) to less positive. And not even a single member is less than 6 on the 21st? Wow.

Glad to see my backyard mud hole will get recharged tomorrow.
Time to sound the alarm on the Blues...

Nam is close I’m not giving up on this one I mean it does have snow falling in central and southern MO Thursday morning. Too bad it’s on its own.

Blues will be fine. We went a year straight without any rough streak honestly. We were due for this. Glad it’s happening now and not in a month. They outplayed Nashville today.

Unfortunately, it literally makes no sense what so ever, it has a 1056 HP with precipitation right underneath it with out a low pressure anywhere around. It has 0 model support at this time. It’s actually quite. Comical.

UKMET just announced they will invest $1.5 billion on a new supercomputer that will be the most powerful in the world.
NOAA's new supercomputer cost $50 million and it required a $70 billion disaster to get it funded.
Think about that for a moment.

Gfs is still squash city. Gem brings snow into western mo (similar to nam) which is the best it has looked. Unfortunately it then gets squashed like a bug.

Blues are in trouble. We left the game after the first period on Saturday. This is more than a slump. The whole formula with everyone shooting and everyone committed to defense has broken down. Our D used to be a wall, now it’s a sieve. Anyway blah blah, it’s hard to watch right now.

Rain this weekend...
Then around midweek next week is when we would expect our next potential storm.
Tons of variability within and between models/model runs.
Storm likely puts STL on the warm side at this juncture, but plenty of ensemble runs have shown huge snow totals because moisture will be abundant.
Looks like a prime second development setup, so I think that will be something that we can at least track by late this week

12z euro tries to change the rain to snow this weekend with the cutoff low, but temps just look too marginal to care.
Then it breaks out the phase to our west for midweek next week.
Need that to happen further east or for a secondary low to form

Amazing how close the GEM and Euro (and NAM) are to bringing a batch of snow to the area Wednesday night. They inch closer and closer with each run but the end result is the same with the HP doing the hulk smash. Tough one to take.

Our D used to be a wall, now it’s a sieve. Anyway blah blah, it’s hard to watch right now. That’s fixable, though, and I thought we played much better in front of Binnington on Sunday. We still have those brain farts at the most inopportune times, though. We had two chances to clear the puck late. The first one went up the middle—bad choice. The second one was fed to a guy along the boards with one of theirs pinching. Flip the puck out and live to fight another shift.

18z Nam takes another step north and east. This is still a longshot but it is tough to ignore the trends, especially with the Euro and the seasonal trend in general.

Japanese Seasonal models going with a wet cool spring, quite cool in fact for much of the midwest and Ohio Valley area. Summer looking seasonable temp wise but continued wet with next Autumn showing warmer and once again much wetter conditions. Could be setting up for a significant flooding event this year yer again. On the up side it would once again keep temps down during the Summer, but the humidity would be killer.
