Yes it is still 32 all around you...ok maybe it’s 33 in spots but it just went above freezing last hour in Springfield mo it is still 30-31 around Columbia. My point was the temps were very slow to rise south west. I have a friend in Versailles that said they had icing on elevated. Columbia to Warrenton has a lot of icing on elevated. I Don’t really care you didn’t get the ice you were supposed to.

I Don’t really care you didn’t get the ice you were supposed to. A large area of 34-35. Still shows Versailles at 32. Point is this event luckily did not turn out as bad for most as it could have been and was expected.
And, I don't care, that you don't care. Need a hug? lmao.

This was a couple degrees away from being a major ice storm across the region...we've had several "close calls" the past 5 years or so...way overdue for a big one at this point.

I agree, we are getting pretty rapid build up on exposed surfaces. With it now being night and possibly 3 more hours of freezing rain exposed surfaces are going to have a nice coating. Until it melts right away! We we’re probably 2 degrees away from a big ice event

I’ll never complain about just missing an ice storm. Ice sucks I'll second this. After that spit of ice that fouled traffic until midnight a couple of years ago any time we don't get the forecast ice I she'd no tears. Ice is awful.
Elevated surfaces are showing signs of melting. Slowly...but melting.

Raining hard. Nothing on streets or sidewalks. Cars icing over. Grass just starting to get crunchy.

WSC, how much snow and ice are you expecting. No reason we can’t support you like you do us.

Trees are loading up still as is the grass. But roads are wet, sidewalks are wet...treated and untreated from what I can tell. My deck was still iced over.

31* and moderate precip, trees glazed pretty good now and cars. Roads still fine. Would say about .10 glaze or so on raised surfaces here in Ballwin.

WSC, how much snow and ice are you expecting. No reason we can’t support you like you do us. I probably have an inch of snow and sleet so far. Not a good sign it’s already contaminated with sleet, but when the next band moves through maybe it will kick back over. Tons of drifting for such low amounts, like a foot in spots. It’s a nice little storm, but nothing major. Thanks for asking

Trees are loading up still as is the grass. But roads are wet, sidewalks are wet...treated and untreated from what I can tell. My deck was still iced over. My porch and front patio are glazed but sidewalks and driveway wet. A lot of weight on the trees though and would think the power lines are doing the same. My thermometer reads 32.

Well I was off on my predictions last night. I will take it as a loss. Onto the next storm! Glad everyone took this storm seriously because it could easily go either way in terms of low impact or high impact on the roads. If we are going to have a legit ice storm here we need colder ground temperatures, colder air and wet bulb temperatures. As well, a start time overnight, early morning or after sunset. One of these days it will all come together, today just wasn't that time.

Just wet sidewalks and roads in Wentzville. Elevated surfaces have a light glaze. The forecast was pretty spot on, but the impacts weren’t realized. It seems like sometimes we can have almost the exact same scenario bring things to a standstill. It just goes to show how tough of a job Chris and the other Mets have. A half of degree difference, a half hour of sleet earlier and you can have a whole different ball game.

From what I can tell it appears we are to straight liquid rain. Temp is at 32. Still ice on raised surfaces, but it's melting.
