Driving home from work today after 5pm towards 6pm was crazy...it got dark as I was going W on I-64. I was confused at what it was, but then I was like this is a rain/snow squall. It started snowing some as I drove through the Chesterfield Valley. It reminded me of a spring time thunderstorm (which it's but snow). It looked like north in St. Charles County is where it snowed at a faster rate. Good call Snowstorm920, Unclesam, and Btrn! The HRRR was picking up on the convective nature with the snow squalls. I wish I had more time to contribute to this board.

If a 973mb low moves through central Indiana and both STL and Chicago only get rain...

I was just looking at the GFS shaking my head wondering how many more ways can we miss a snowstorm. If we could just get a cold air connection with that. That would be fun.

I doubt we will see anything quite this dramatic today.... This might be one of the coolest pictures I've ever seen! This is a snow squall from yesterday near Aspen, Colorado. Breathtaking! I agree Chris. I seen this picture the other day.

Happy to announce that my wife and I welcomed our son into the world yesterday afternoon. The most incredible feeling in the world to be a dad to say the very least! As it pertains to this forum I was a junior in high school when I found “The Corner.” Life is good! The bit of snow this morning was a nice touch.

Congrats STG. Such a blessing. The only downside and it’s minimal is that he wasn’t born in a thundering blizzard to forever cement that storm in your memory.

I've been here since the beginning and am older than you are by more than a decade. I was going to chime in with great-grandpa but I decided not to because, not being sure of exact ages, and I am well into my 7th decade (turned 60 a few months ago). Maybe I will leave this one alone and just be very grateful and very happy.

My 'baby' is a freshman in college. They're born. Blink, they're in school. Blink twice, they're graduating high school. They'll always be my babies, but they don't stay little very long.
Congratulations! Enjoy the ride!

So my 'geezer' status is still in tact And get off my lawn!
