I think on the severe front november will be wild. I am ok with a warm november. Yhat should hopefully help us around the holidays. Also i can oficially say the 24 degrees this morning at the house has ended the growing season in the st.louis area. Even lambert is 29 so it was a hard to very hard freeze area wide.

The last time we had a big severe outbreak in the middle of November, the ensuing winter turned out quite well. That's not necessarily a single predictor - just saying, most years with a cool/seasonable October and a warm November yield a wintry Dec. and Jan.

So basically the question is what happens with Eta once it re-emerges after it crosses Honduras. Quite the model spread from slinging it east to bringing it into the GOM. Unfortunately looks like another Felix-like storm for Nicaragua.

Good grief eta looks nasty. Looks like it’s bombing hard again. Likely much stronger at next advisory. A direct hit on Puerto Cabezas looks likely.
