Also looks like the HRRR model was onto something, back building already happening towards Farmington.

The radar looks great. We can see that the radar returns over SW IL over the SE ST CLAIR COUNTY ARE SEPARATE FROM THE BLOOMING RETURNS JUST NORTH. THE RETURNS FURTHER NORTH ARE COMING FROM MUCH HIGHER UP IN THE ATMOSPHERE ABOVE THE LOW-LEVEL DRY AIR SO THEY'RE GOING TO HAVE A MUCH HARDER TIME PUNCHING THROUGH THAT DRY AIRCOMPARED TO THE RETURNS THAT ARE AROUND THE H7 LEVEL.

We had a good burst of snow in Ste. Gen about an hour ago. Enough to coat rooftops in white and roads for a bit. Roads look slushy now but it was nice to watch come down. Hope we can get in on another round of it but ten days out from Christmas , I’ll take this.

Beautiful light snow.
Finally picking up enough to maybe whitening things up
However it won't last long based on radar trends.
