I’m in wentzville steady light snow , no accumulation on anything. Unless something changes drastically we won’t see much at all today until after sunset. The radar doesn’t even look very impressive. I’m not sure when the convection type stuff is supposed to start but hopefully something kicks into high gear this afternoon or else it will be a big under performance for sure

It's snowing pretty good in west St.Louis County right now, but it isn't heavy and it is melting immediately.

Mizzou radar starting to light up. That better lift should move east and over spread the area this afternoon

Mizzou radar starting to light up. That better lift should move east and over spread the area this afternoon It doesn't matter this is playing out exactly as modeled and expected. Some people apparently expected significant ground accumulations considering the endless whining going on. I thought this forum would be happy that we are going to see snow fall all day.

southern STC and West STL county along the river possibly seeing heavy snow i live abt 3 miles north of the mo river. i can say for sure that im not seeing and impact to visibility. pure air snow comprised of tiny flakes all morning. i cannot say what is occurring to my south though, say in areas around weldon spring where the nws is located.

HRRR kinda picks up on this... we may see some decent development along and east of the vort dropping down over the next few hours... can see the enhanced cloud tops with it. Unfortunately- it will be middle of the day.

Almost moderate snow. With as wet as it's making everything, it may as well be rain.

Temp is down about a degree the past hour. Sitting at 33.1* now
The higher snow rates later today should keep temps around 32-33

Warm enough that the snow falling on my deck, 3 feet off the ground, is just wet. So should not be a problem with raised surfaces at this point.

Starting to see a slight buildup of snow up in the trees... That's it so far out at my place in Chesterfield. The temperature is steady at 33. Finally starting to see some lumpiness in the returns northeast of Columbia...near Mexico.. this may indicate the beginnings of some convective development… which will be needed to get any accumulation at all in the metro area this afternoon. Steady as she goes, with accumulations of an inch or less in and around the metro.

The real convective stuff should develop in the wake of the vort max that's crossing the river up near Pike Co. currently...this afternoon should be fun

Radar coming to life right on schedule. We need some big fat flakes to help overcome the warm surface temps. These small flakes aren't going to cut it

The big crybaby is looking to have the best chance for accumulations the next few hours.
Very solid returns heading into union.
Further NE things are still blotchy and unorganized

Flake size a tad bigger and coming down with moderately......33° and melting on contact yet. Other then some of the cedar trees and pin oak trees that have leaves has a minor amount of snow stuck on it.
