The IL counties east potentially look to have some more fun on Sunday like today! Originally, models were showing potential in STL too. Btrn: it looks like you have a better chance to pick up some more snow on Sun in Brighton. I had to look at Google Maps to double check the location of Brighton haha. The 18z NAMs look dry as a bone for the immediate metro west right now. Who knows that may change because the 18z HRRR shows some snow potential in the immediate metro west for Sun. If that happens, I hope ground temps can be a little colder than during today's snow. Nonetheless, I'm happy to see healthy dendrites fall from the sky!

32.8 here in Barnhart. Ground trees and rooftops is starting to get covered with moderate snow falling with medium sized flakes.
On a side note. How do we post pictures on here. It’s been a long time since I’ve been here.
Thanks.

Those heavier returns are just hitting a brick wall as they approach the river valley...seems all too familiar.

Yeah, hopefully Sunday throws me a bone up this way...I haven't measured a quarter inch of snow yet. Not holding my breath...

Flakes slightly larger than salt shaker but no accumulation. Temp at 34* in far NE St. Peters. Not going to get much accumulation this way.

It certainly looks like yesterday's HRRR runs were over hyping the convection on the IL side.

Name a more iconic duo

After nearly six hours of snow we finally have a dusting in Ballwin. I really, really miss the way winters used to be around here.

Not as impressive in town based on web cams, but it’s accumulating nicely outside of town.

Now that the suns going down the intensity is slowing and the heavy returns hit the river and die ..... We have to beg to get a half inch of snow anymore......grrrrrr

Accumulating here in Perryville now too. This is what I was suggesting was possible...if we can get it to hold on well into the evening we might scratch up an inch.

32 in Barnhart, moderate snow falling, ground is almost covered and trees and rooftops are covered and the roads are starting cover over now. I’m in a higher elevation area. Down by Hwy M and Metropolitan the ground is still green.

Elevation is definitely making a difference. I just came out of chesterfield valley and there was NOTHING sticking. But up at my place... 2 miles away and just over 100 feet higher... the ground and trees are pasted in white.

everything white here except the driveway....I still can't seem to get any green radar returns to overspread my area. Amazing 7 miles west of De Soto. Temp still at 32*

Took a trip to Washington to get some drive-thru for dinner and when I left I had maybe a half inch on the patio table and when i got back home there was right at 2”. Intensity has slowed now since sunset and its melting now off the roof and the road is black again. Washington didn’t have much at the time I was there.

Just enough to coat the ground in st.peters. maybe .3 inches i was going to say, it looks like we could have doubled our season snowfall total, although my hunch is the airport didnt get so much.

Looks like the airport reported about .3 as well. I would say I have now had .4 for the winter. I hope for more snow someday.

Elevation is definitely making a difference. I just came out of chesterfield valley and there was NOTHING sticking. But up at my place... 2 miles away and just over 100 feet higher... the ground and trees are pasted in white. You can really see it driving around the High Ridge area. Along Highway 30, there isn't a whole lot until you get to get to about Dillon Road, but if you get up into the area around Antire and Williams Creek around the water tower it's pretty messy.

Snowing at a decent clip in Perryville. Bout a half inch on the car. Better than nothing but I echo the others...we need to make something happen before this winter is out. It’s been rough. Hell, two of our most prominent members have been driven to the penalty box.
