I had to do round one on the driveway and sidewalk. The deck was shoveled off, this was taken an hour later.

One thing I noticed, they sure put more emphasis and reference the ensembles way more than in years past. I guess a lot of the old timers are gone it definitely seems different at times in there forecasts and discussions

Noticed that the current storm has a 40*+ temperature gradient between the Bi-state and Dixieland...something we haven't seen a lot of this season. Too bad that gradient wasn't about 150mi further south...

We will need to watch that snow pack for spring flooding. They say this every year and “we are going to have record flooding” every year and more often then not it’s normal spring time low area flooding and nothing more. People (farmers) in my area laugh at these type warnings anymore.

BTW...that cyclone I mentioned at D10 on the EPS is after the one at D6 which also has an unfavorable track. It's like mother nature is dual weilding the middle finger now. And we still have the Wednesday thing that has potential to disappoint as well.

People (farmers) in my area laugh at these type warnings anymore. i think how things transpire in the next 2 months will determine flood potential. i wasnt too concerned most of this winter until i started seeing an emerging pattern of above normal rainfall in the mid ms valley and above normal snow in the upper midwest, but i wldnt say record flooding, just minor attm.

Extended rap looks great for 1 to 3 inches Nice little petite beef steak on the 21z run. The mesoscale models seem more bullish on this than the global. Let’s hope they are seeing something that actually comes true

Tomorrow by this time it'll show very little of anything or 35 with snow, which amounts to the same thing, nothing.

One good thing , we’re inside the 48 hour mark which gives us a lot of good short range data . I like rap , it’s starts precipitation before sunrise. The earlier the better .

Forcing north and south. Models trying to decide where is more dominant. Probably both with us getting zero point Zero.

The lift with this system looks sporadic and disorganized at times as the energy moves overhead. It does have moisture to work with so wherever the best forcing sets up could see a nice little event

Once you start getting lapse rates in the upper 6s and 7s thru the snow growth- flakeage gets very good. 8* rates are very strong/ unstable
