Just looking outside and guessing I’d say between 2 and 3 inches fell over night...... truly a winter wonderland

The radar is priceless. It has snowed around me all night. That dry air has been kicking ! BACKSIDE ! since the get go. It just won't budge. So sick of waiting. Dude I understand, the heavy return over me now will probably be it for my area. I probably got about 2" on top of what fell last week. Just eyeballing from the window. Hoping you get your snow and it comes down heavy and I get hit with the heavier stuff tomorrow too Horribly innacurate

HRRR and RAP are still showing about 0.50” QPF in the metro today
If we get 20:1 ratios that’s double digit snowfall

Yeah, that's a wall of mod/hvy snow coming our way! Crazy and that is still things not that well organized yet. It almost looks a little West of the consensus at this point.

Roads aren’t awful yet. Worst part of the drive was getting out of the driveway. I have drifts almost up to my knees right where I make the turn from backing out to moving forward, and front wheel drive Gandalf didn’t want to go. Took 10 minutes to rock him out, then 40-50mph all the way in.

Now...I might end up sleeping here overnight, but so far so good.

Chris said 5-8 inches. Is that on top of what we already have?

Went out at 5 to stoke the fire, figured I would use the leaf blower to clear the walk. It worked but as light and fluffy as it may seem, it was packed together. Snow mostly blew off in chunks. Estimate somewhere between 1-2"?

Question: For the immediate metro: Snow will pick up again around 10a? Heaviest after 12p?

Can someone help me out. I am estimating 2 maybe 2.5 inches of new snownin st.peters. the wind is impossible with the drifts. That is my best guess. That is not a official measurement.

Close to 4 inches here on the ground with the additional 2 inches from last night. For accuracy/integrity sake though storm total from this system thus far is 2 inches.

Underwhelming so far. My eyeball estimate is 3/4 of an inch here in North St. Pete. Big fat F for this area.

I put a 5 gallon bucket out yesterday afternoon. Measured drifts in the bucket. One side was 1”, other side 2”. I’m calling 1.5” in upper Arnold since 4:00pm yesterday

How unique is this system? This is from this morning's AFD
I`m in new territory estimating the SLRs as never in my 30+ years forecasting have I dealt with a major storm with this cold of an airmass. I am using 20:1 or greater and they increase with time.
