Pretty heavy salt shaker snow in Wentzville. They just cleared our lot and it took about 15 minutes to cover it back up.

Flake size has exploded in Perryville. Visibility plummeting. WOW! This is what we’ve dreamed of weather fans! Yeah you are in the deeper lift now. That lift is now knocking on Arnold's door. Will be at the Arch by 10AM. Close to 2" an hour rates under this lift. And the system is still strengthening.

I’m not sure if you knew but my son bought a house right up the road from you Geno S. house .... he said the drifts on his lane road are getting pretty deep

It's pouring COTTON BALLS.
Just crazy.
Thankfully this is relatively light powder. So hopefully I get to work tomorrow. Or by Wednesday.

Nothing but salt shaker out on the western edge of the CWA (Gasconade County MO). Any chance that improves later today? Or am I too far west for the good stuff?

Bands of 35 DBZ radar returns are popping up on composite over SEMO moving almost due North. Festus should be seeing snow increasing to straight blankets right now I can confirm that just south of Festus it is flat out rippin!

We had the big cotton balls, but has since changed over to dime size.
In the 27 years the wife and I have been in business, we have never shut down for weather, until today. With us being in a rural community, a lot of our employees come from the surrounding area. The roads getting here are 2 lane country roads that drift a lot. The main reason we shut down though, we didn't want to endanger our employees, especially with the temperatures what they are. Not so bad at 25-30 deg with this snow, but the combination of the wind, temp and snow, is deadly.
