Yeah it's kinda looking like storms may start off ingesting inflow near the surface and then transition to more elevated inflow. But there's no real pronounced inversion at the surface (at least per HRRR) as storms approach metro so it could go either way. At a minimum there would be a hail threat if elevated though.

18Z NAM 3KM also following suit to the 18Z HRRR even a tad bit more south.

I follow the lady on twitter who did the day 2 outlook. She seems like a good person.

18z surface analysis shows a tongue of low/mid-50 Tds to the south along the river valley...there could be rapid destabilization along and south of the occluded front over the next several hours as that noses into the boundary with surface heating underway and cooling mid-level temps. There does seem to be a marginal tornado/landspout threat along that zone.

Classic hook in radar and inflow Pretty classic look to a slightly elevated supercell. The low level rotation there is well organizedand bit broad...not likely to produce a tornado. Nice RFD on the southern flank. Overall, a nice supercell...and good the instability wasnt any greater!

Mean looking rotating cell just went over. Wind picked up to 25-30 maybe. Weird sighting of 100-125 turkey vultures flying together moving east/southeast ahead of the storm.

As long as they only 'look' wicked.....I had never seen so many turkey buzzards in a flock like that. Maybe 15-20 down at Clearwater Lake before but nothing like what was in front of that first storm.

This last one had a very clear wall cloud. Nothing going on with it tho but you could really see the inflow

Huge raindrops and some small hail 7 miles west of De Soto.
Edit: That should have sent 6-7 minutes ago...didn't hit send. I took pics of the rainbow 'landing' on the next door neighbors house and sent them.
