Two massive cracks of thunder, both close to my home, enough to make me jump. Notable.

Really chaotic storm motions today...hard to figure out where storms are going to set up.

Struggle between the outer band of IDA and cold front just to the south. Interesting to watch.

Looks like there's an MCV in N MO moving SE towards the region...some popcorn cells starting to fire out ahead of it along the remnant outflow. NWS has 20% POPS IMBY today which seems too low.

Although I wonder if that MCS to our west might throw a wrench in those plans

Nothing can seem to get going with this. Small showers try to pop but just fizzle away.

Who is getting that itchy feeling for Fall. I've had that feeling for 3 months... Unfortunately, for my wife and myself, the itchy is CHIGGERS from Johnson Shut-in's. Fall does sound good though.

Today marks 16 consecutive days this month of dewpoints >70*F to go along with last month's 22 day stretch. That includes 4 consecutive days of dews reaching 80*F. This is easily the most humid summer I can ever remember.

The storms this evening seem pretty progressive for a FF threat unless backbuilding occurs and there isn't much sign of that so far. Guess we'll see...
