Line starting to develop extending SW from Warrenton and it looks like an outflow from the larger shield is going to catch up to it from behind. That could be an interesting interaction

We were watching those two outflows wondering what would happen when they meet! Interesting.

DISCUSSION...At 23Z, a loosely-organized thunderstorm cluster and an associated surging outflow was moving southeastward across east-central MO and far western IL, while another outflow was dropping southward in advance of the cluster. While vertical shear is weak across the region, the strong cold pool and renewed convective development along multiple outflow boundaries will likely maintain a short-term damaging wind threat into the St. Louis area and adjacent portions of western IL through 00-01Z.
With time, the combining outflows will likely continue surging southward into this evening, potentially maintaining some damaging wind risk into southeast MO and southwest IL, even as convection eventually becomes more disorganized with time due to weak vertical shear and increasing MLCINH.

Guess Midnight storms was a bit off again. Like a few days ago when 6PM became 1:30-2PM storms. Ah, the timing errors. Now storms are 6-8PM. probably quiet the rest of the night now once this band pushes through. But we'll see.

Had a cell develop right on top of me about 530and sat still for a ½ hour. Don't have a rain gauge but it was a pretty good dump in a short time. Included was just a few pea sized hail stones.
Wife asked how long it's supposed to rain. I told her it wasn't even supposed to be here until 7 or 8 so that's a good question.

Looks like it's losing steam as it heads further into the more stable airmass behind the SE moving outflow. Still some strong wind potential moving into the Metro.

.95 according to the Davis on the roof in North St. Pete. It was quite dark and windy for several minutes. As guyatacomputer said, we had a cell blow up over us before the main show got here.

Similar story here in Ballwin, 50 to 60 mile per hour gusts with tree limbs snapping and power out. Now heavy rain and 20-30mph winds.

hopefully storms don't start to blow up along the southeastward outflow/gust front from storms coming into Franklin Co. It looks to be weakening along the TS Warning box in NW Franklin Co. Wow, just refreshed the radar and storms exploded east of southwestward moving outflow/gust front.
