Leaves everywhere, some tiny branchs down, and other people’s recycling in my front yard. Power lightly flickered a lot, but never went out.

Very strong winds in Imperial. Powers flickered, only a sprinkle of rain so far.

I will guess a 40 to 45 mile an hour winds shift with the gust front several minutes ago maybe five minutes ago and then just had probably a 50 mile an hour gust. Pretty sure this is from the gust front travel in southeastward look like the Southwestward traveling one in Illinois just about to come over the river is merging just north of redbud. By the time I proof read my talks to text these things will be in Arkansas.🤪🤪🤪

Ventured out onto my patio to save my plumeria. It’s dumping and we’re getting quite a light show. 1.19” so far.

Quite the storm we had here. 7000 people out of power up here in Lincoln county. I thought I was going to lose my pear tree. Lots of damage reports. Luckily I still have power.

Watching it get closer to me in Perryville. It’s getting reenergized there in stg county. Good for the crops on the farm!

Boy was it crazy yet so cool in Eureka earlier! My youngest and I were out back which faces west, and you could see it was coming by the clouds getting darker and more wicked looking. All of a sudden, the noise we heard was insane- it was SO loud that I was thinking is there a tornado that’s forming/formed and they don’t know it yet? It was a loud roaring sound….then the wind came and we ran inside.
I bet the temps plummeted about 15-20 degrees in less than 10 minutes- and wrestlerdude (Spaz) was spot on with 60-70mph winds - we have trees down and transformers blown and thus no power. Thank the lord it has cooled down. And basically all of this happened before any drop of rain fell.

Tight cluster of severe storms over Kansas City. Don't know if they'll make it across the state. Especially since our airmass is pretty well worked over.

Looks like parts of Arnold lost power. I went to the gym but they had no power when I got there. Parts of Arnold Commons and other shopping centers were without power as well.

Anybody get any pics of the storms? I was inside at work. Power flickered a couple of times. Folks that were outside or by a door said it was pretty wicked.

Storms in the Columbia/Moberly area aren't moving. Could be some flood issues. If nothing else some healthy totals.

We’ll, we lost our hawthorn that I had planted to attract cedar wax wings. Split and landed on our bedroom sky lights. Waiting for the tree service to see if there’s any house damage. Good morning 😳

Looks like temps may overachieve today with nearly full sunshine across the region. And the humidity is still solidly in the "gross" category.

Pretty much a swing and a miss from the SPC for sure... What makes it even worse is at 20z they dropped the slight risk to our north and kept the marginal exactly the same. Only at 01z did they finally add a slight risk across southern IL ahead of the MCS.

Only at 01z did they finally add a slight risk across southern IL ahead of the MCS. They went from a 20% watch issuance at 330pm with "isolated severe" to a full blown derecho with blanket warnings within an hour. Awful! I'm sure they were on the ball in the NE though...

We had a drenching downpour here in Ferguson, and according to Ameren around 1500 were without power in the Ferguson 63135 zip code last night. Just 230 now in the 63135 area code. Our House never lost power. My area in Ferguson did not the strong winds.

Since the front hasn’t come through will this help spark storms later this afternoon? Thinking it could, yes. With the boundary still to our north and this MCV in western MO moving across this afternoon- we should see some storms. Models have CAPEs pooling around 2000J/KG later this afternoon so may see a decent storm or two south of I70.
