Guess any Amazon Packages that are due to arrive Saturday in the metro-east are going to be delayed a bit. Obviously that is the least of concerns especially if several or more people died in what was likely a vast, fully staffed, and overloaded facility. This is going to have fatalities. That's tons of concrete falling into an active workplace. 20 departments on scene

Just got back home from Park Hills about 1/2 hour ago. Glad to see the storm fall apart just before entering west central JeffCo. Hope the others west of me lose their punch. Stay safe everyone and prayers where the tornadoes have hit. At the moment we look to be in the clear u less something crazy happens. Good!!!!

That's about as ominous as it gets from a reflectivity presentation

The debris is producing a triple body scatter spike out of the Mayfield storm.

Also is that a debris ball spike south of Mayfield?

That's an EF4 or EF5 Signature if that was ever a thing.

Also is that a debris ball spike south of Mayfield? TBSS likely. Radar waves hitting the debris, bouncing towards ground, back up to debris, then back at radar. Longer trip makes it look further away.

Looking at the radar, it appears that the southeastern half of the metro may very will dodge a bullet on this one and not see much not that we need more action. There's been plenty enough elsewhere.

Debris lofted to about 25000ft in that Mayfield storm now.
Edit: New scan...up to 31000ft. Consistent with EF4+.

Well unless a third line develops, completely missed everything out here from both lines. Not that I want a tornado but was looking forward to a storm. Barley got any rain even. Thoughts and prayers to those dealing with damage this evening.

Mayfield, KY likely getting wiped off the map similar or even far worse then Edwardsville. Sadly may be dozens killed down there and hundreds possibly Injured. A very Joplin like event down there for sure.

I think the kink in the QLCS near St. Ann and Hazelwood was the impetus for this new TOR warning.

Benton KY is next in line unfortunately. That thing is showing no signs of slowing down.

Also, I went back and checked, I think the emergency for Mayfield was issued just a couple minutes before the tornado moved through the town.

This is what, the third storm scale MCD like this issued for this storm? I'm guessing they are running the Warn on Forecast modelling on this storm showing it will sustain for while...

And now a new TDS on that central IL storm. I can't keep up.
I guess they aren't gonna bother retagging the existing warning though...
Edit: Nevermind, just did after I said that.
