Everyone has blown away. Speaking of, they will have hurricane force winds out in the west central plains tomorrow!

Alive but seriously jet lagged. Traveled for 21 hours yesterday and the laundry is today. So glad to be home and back to my group of weather geeks.

Have found hardly any morels down here yet. They are very spotty...the persistent cold has kept them at bay. But these warm days and nights over the next week should have them in full flush mode by middle to end of next week. A late season around here.
Speaking of a late season, I was looking at the videos of the 4/20 snow from last year and the leaves were much more developed on the trees than they are this year at the same time. I have a few videos of the heavy snow falling through the leaves on my front yard maple tree. Those leaves are 2-3 inches in the video, but there are barely any leafed out yet right now.

Haven't gotten a turkey yet, and only found a couple morels. I heard the peak around here should be the next two weeks. As for the woods, it's the most open I have seen in years. Kind of like late deer season. You can see from one ridge to the next with no trouble. Problem is... so can the turkey!

On my breaks I can walk my pup around the little lake in the apartment complex. I love this weather. I get to visit North Carolina for 2 weeks for training, I've been told the pollen is horrendous down there.

I see SPC is back in sharp-shooter mode with today's outlook. Those Slight Risk areas are smaller than most watches. Meanwhile... we've had ongoing SVR and now TOR warnings on the edge of Marginal/General area... and no watch at all. These are supposed to be outlooks that identify regional outbreak potential. Those tiny Slight Risk bubbles are hardly regional.

Looks like that cell in SWMO is riding the warm front. Might continue to see that occasionally spin up

Will that ride the line to here or is it going too slow?

It's riding the front, but it is outflow dominant and should not have a TOR Warning. The surface outlow is well ahead of the hook. The entire circulation is elevated. Just a nice big Severe Thunderstorm with big hail... but not a tornado producer.

Based on radar trends, it does look like we will get some showers this evening. Lots of bubbly echoes headed this way.

Could be some training storms and flash flooding threat for the southern half Sunday along the stalled front.

Had to turn on the a/c this afternoon. I hated to do it but I hated sweating while doing nothing even more.

Working in the herb garden. Lost my hat twice. All of my trimmings are flying. Getting it done! Hesitate to plant herbs if 30’s next week as lows. What do you all think? Basil will stay in for now , for sure.

Looking at the NWS weather story... given the strength of the southerly flow... no way the warm front stalls that far south... thoughts?
