I’m reading that south of me , some trained Mets are saying a chance of thundersnow/lightning for Perry and Cape counties in SE Missouri. Can someone that can interpret charts or soundings confirm that?

it started with a few minutes of tiny graupel, and now tiny to small flakes flying, ground dusted.

Can someone that can interpret charts or soundings confirm that? I doubt it. TSSN is almost always associated with near-freezing temps close to the surface, usually close to the changeover line.

Easy to see when the wind picked up. Flakes are being shredded.

Snowed pretty good for a bit in Richmond Heights but has considerably tapered off. Doesn't look like it's accumulating very well because of the wind.

When I was looking at the NWS site yesterday, in the WSW area they did post small areas of Snow Squall warnings. Alost like severe thunderstorm warnings in a watch area.

Gefs mean supports enhanced band of snow this afternoon between 3-6pm along and mostly SE of 44/64.
We'll see how that goes.

Gefs mean supports enhanced band of snow this afternoon between 3-6pm along and mostly SE of 44/64. We'll see how that goes. I was just going mention what looks like a ripple/wave along the front in ne OK. I am looking atBand 6 Cloud Particle loop. I am not sure if that is a disturbance in the clouds over north central OK or if what I am seeing is topography induced or a ripple in the flow.

Apparently my original flight from LA to STL while delayed initially about 2 hours, ended up departing just now. I’m kind of surprised. Wonder if that was a good call…
