My remote temp gauge is showing 88* 7 miles west of De Soto. Any confirmation reports nearby?

Anybody else having issues with their weather radio?? I can't pick up the channels. All I'm getting is a high pitch tone.

Is it just me or does it storm in Hannibal and Quincy every time a mosquito farts? Definitely a weather hotspot up there. Lots of severe, but haven't seen many red polygons so far

20z SGF sounding shows weakened CINH...looks like the cap is starting to erode allowing storms to become established down that way. Might be a noisy evening ahead of us.

SPC mesoanalysis shows that cluster near SGF is developing within a region of positive Theta-E advection and upper divergence. Instability is abundant downstream over us with LIs between 8-10* and SBCAPE near 3000j/kg so would think those storms will be maintained. But there are still pockets of stronger CINH, so it's not a slam dunk.

The trough is still way back west and heights have actually been on the rise the last few hours across the area Might be some subsidence keeping updrafts from getting going
