WTH happened to my rain chances? What a bummer. It is very dry here and I can't believe how much my pond has evaporated in all this %$#@ wind. I thought I was still safe with the rain nudging south of 70. Rats

I'll ban anyone that asks for rain next weekend.
Dry until then. On May 14, the skies can open up.

Hopefully we can snuff this out before it takes hold I could swear that some of those same areas were getting dumped with rain and had flood watches just a week or two ago.

I really feel like what unfolds over the next week to 10 days is crucial for how this summer goes...if we don't get the storms with temps getting into the 80s to near 90* it's going to get extremely dry quickly...it's already about there in many spots. Sunday PM/Mon looks like our best bet...and Tuesday has some potential too. We'll have to see how that ejecting bowling ball trends later next week.
Looks like there could be a batch of showers along/N of 70 later this afternoon at least...but today's rain sure was a bust.

AccuNot says a hot Summer, but worse out west with periodic bouts of intense storms especially June and July, then drying in August into September. Expects drought just hold off to the west, but again too close for comfort.

-PDO/PNA is also finally showing some signs of fading but it's gonna be a process. Actually some pockets of warming over previous week off of California and west in general, but its nothing blockbuster. If we see this warming continuing that could help keep a lid on the drought and so called 'Mega Heat Domes' this year, or if nothing else keep us on the edge and on the storm train.

Now Saturday's storm chances are evaporating... Shocker! (sarcasm). SPC really cut back the risk to just a small area from STL to Quincy, IL and it's skinny would of just gone with Marginal throughout and call it a day instead of focusing on such a small slight risk area.

Ok... let's shot this thread down. We need some fresh air as we get ready to flip seasons.
