62 next Friday for a high! I noticed that, and im glad. Too cold too early is not encouraging imo. If we can stay in the 60s for a while, then gradually step down in the 50s for the rest of the month, then i can hope that cold air is building in our source region. We've got a long way to go...I'd be more concerned if it were November.

Under our first winter storm watch of the year here in Denver. Local Mets calling for 6-10 inches. Usually our first snow of the year isn't this big. Should be a fun weekend here in the mile high.

Didn’t get more than a couple of drops of rain here. Temperature has dropped 30+ degrees in 3 hours.

Starting to get fun looking at ensemble runs.
18z gfs has a member with a massive winter storm for STL.
Just another sign we are approaching the best time of year.

The late NFL game on Sunday on CBS could be interesting. The @chiefs are playing in Denver. A foot or more of snow is forecast prior to and during the game.

The Union / STL Metro Special...dry donut hole! Maybe a sneak peak at how one of the winter storms will look like this winter for STL. 😂😊

Hard to believe with all the snow around the country that the last post was 19 hours ago. Anyway, after a 2 day trip to Indiana I checked the rain gauge this morn and it had .875" in it. I didn't see a drop of that fall. but I'm glad we got it. Been lightly raining on and off, mostly off, so far today. Looks like a chilly Halloween for the kids and parents.

Had a nice snow here on the south side of Denver. 6-8 inches fell generally in my area. Here's some photos I took.

Nice pics weatherfan17, except the upside down car, of course. Did anyone else have 6-8 power shut-offs then right back on in pretty quick succession? This was around 10:15pm. My internet just did come back on around 11. Just curious.

I bottomed out at 31° this morning. I tallied another 0.438" of rain overnight for a grand total of 1.313", or 1-5/16". I will take it. The pond definitely came up a little bit. Need just a couple more inches of rain in two events, not all at once.🤪🤪

Great picture’s …… I have my hopes up for a good winter:) I feel the same way. I know there's the saying " it can always be worse " but I do believe it can't get much worse than last winter, lol. The only thing that was a standout for me last year was the powerful arctic blast a few days before Christmas.
