It looks like the 18z NAM gives us a bit of front end thump WSC..I'm I seeing that correct?

Light snow breaking out here in Perryville, 36 degrees. Temps underperformed by about 5 degrees, can’t hurt.

18z GFS absolutely blitzes the western and northern counties
Western metro would get almost a foot while then eastern metro would be lucky to get a couple inches

It looks like the 18z NAM gives us a bit of front end thump WSC..I'm I seeing that correct? Hit of WAA snow, but will pay the price with a rainy deformation and/or dry slot if that solution happens.

My target band right now based on a composite is Sedalia to Peoria for max accumulations.

Steady snow here now with decent flake size. Need to drop a few degrees. Hopefully get an inch tonight but that’s a stretch.

What did 18 GFS show for next Friday? North (KC to Chi Town). So lock that in, won’t budge an inch.

My daughter in Park Hills says it was snowing and sleeting she said she could hear the sleet hitting the car. I am completely aghast at the radar absolutely falling apart with that decent line of snow on my doorstep. Am I ever going to learn?? Hi my name is amstilost and I have a problem with betting people that we're going to get 15" of snow in the next snow storm.🤪🤪🤞🤞🙏🙏

If we could just lock in the 12z GEM, that'd be greaaaaaaat. Would be an incredible stretch of winter weather over the next 7-10 days.
A blend of it and the GFS puts the Metro in a good spot for accumulating snow Tuesday. I'm kicking the EC to the curb as an outlier...but it's still possible the northern track comes to fruition.

The EC continues to have little to no support for the northern track with the UKMET closer in line with the GFS/GEM. Overall, today's runs show a pretty solid shot of accumulating snowfall for the NW half of the CWA. Still thinking 2-4" is a good starting point...maybe 3-6".
99 raised a good point yesterday about possible power outages...wind gusts of 35-40mph+ look possible on the backside of the deepening cyclone so that's a concern with wet heavy snow sticking to power lines and tree branches.

Am I missing something or is every weather station reporting very little snow on Tues as it heads North? Doesn't look like hardly anything for STL Metro....
