Blizzard next Friday on euro. As long as we cash in on one of these... it will be frustrating to miss both. Unlikely to get both... but one.. we should get one!

Euro paints me with 3" snow tonight and an additional 1" from Tuesday's storm. Waiting to see what, if any, changes the Hunter Aircraft input has on the models tonight. Forever the Optimist

Oh... that is a nasty one! I dont remember a recent time when we had so many fantasy storms in the cue. Surely out of the 50 fantasy inches of snow forecast we might get one good storm lol.
Some time I am going to do a study to calculate the amount of fantasy snow shown 7-10 days out vs how much actually falls. I bet the average is less than 1%.

I like the look of the later ones a lot more. Tuesdays system has all the ingredients of the typical headache storm around here. I think N areas see some heavy snow on the backside, however.

Wow, ya I agree. I can't recall a time where these models showed storm after storm for these parts. One of them definitely better hit us good.

All of these systems in a row remind me of heading to the roulette table and convincing myself after 15 black numbers in a row, the next one HAS to be red. Only to be black again. Let's hope we hit on one of these or we all may lose our minds collectively

Let's hope we hit on one of these or we all may lose our minds collectively I once lost 19 consecutive hands of blackjack at the Casino Queen . Odds are around 1 in 525,000 samples. So, I think we can get a couple storms.

We were supposed to be in Yellowstone today. Medical issues with relative caused us to cancel. Bird feeders are filled, heated bird bath is full, fire is going. I'm ready.......come what may.

That is crazy that we have 3 potential snow makers (including the minor event tonight) in the next 7 days.

Park Hill, MO to Belleville, IL to Decatur, IL seems to be where models are honing in on the best chances of a sloppy 1-3" of snow by sunrise Monday and that's using the Kuchera and Snow Depth Change methods. 10:1 popping out nearly 5" for some, but ratios are closer to 7:1 for most of the event when snowfalls.

18z nam is finally in range for the first part of next week’s storm.
It takes the lead as the new northern outlier.

Not snow related, but I just read that on Aug 28th, 1990, the CAPE near where the Plainfield IL F5 hit... was over 8K!!!!

We've already been placed under a WSW out here in western Kansas for the system next week. Text says 3"+ of snow with 55-60 mph wind gusts. Just hoping I don't lose power. haha.

Ya what sucks for me is I work weekends. I was so happy that Tuesdays storm was bigger then tonight's. But now storm 3 "could" be the better one. Lol And I work inside with NO windows. Hoping I can at least look out a docking door. I'm actually going to test for a better position for myself within the company. I have developed issues with my feet the past couple of yrs. And my job title the last 2 yrs had me walking all over the 550,000 Sq ft building. I literally was doing 30,000 steps give or take everyday Fri-Sun. Anyways, point is this NEW position has me at a smaller building right next door. And while I will be walking over there, I'll be driving a fork truck and freakin golf cart to and from the bigger plant. Off my feet alot more. Plus I'll be going outside several times a day. So being that I'm a weather fanatic. It's PERFECT. LOL
