Roofs are covered. Ran some recycling out to the bin and have a good coat on the cans and mulch. Driveway is starting to build a little slop, west facing.

18z EPS looks pretty much identical to the 12z EPS.
Will be interesting if the hurricane hunter data does anything for tonight’s runs.
Sounds like the energy broke away from the Aleutian low today, so would expect more certainty and narrowing of the envelope distribution over the next 12-18 hours.

I think the hurricane hunter data was being collected this evening so it probably won’t be inputted until tomorrow morning’s runs Thats if I read the mission summary right

Slush and light snow accumulation showing up on the streets and driveways. Still coming down at a moderate clip. Looks like another thrust of energy and moisture is heading our way, most models keep moderate snow with a couple pockets of heavy snow through about 12-1AM before gradually diminishing. 2-3" might be golden for the metro east into central Illinois by the time it all shuts down.

Tonights system give me hopes for Tuesdays storm. We actually have been finding a way to get snow in St.Louis the last 2 weeks even when temperatures were against us.
So I am being optimistic for a 3 to 6 event tuesday.

I'm seeing some nice radar returns popping to the southwest and heading northeast. That's the next thrust and possibly heaviest part. Not much eastward progression yet with backbuilding to just east of Rolla. This thing is the work of an overachiever.

Everything is white over here with only shaded areas under pine trees or otherwise mostly sheltered still being exposed. Probably coming on an inch now on the grass. Mailbox looks like it's at about an inch of snow on top. Don't have any good flat surfaces, so no official measurements, just eyeballing it.

Driveways now covering in st.peters. slush beginning on neighborhood streets. Snowfall rates are overwhelming the warmer ground.

The fact that rain has largely stayed out of the mix and allowed better cooling has really help booster this thing, despite marginal temps at the surface.

0.7" in Edwardsville, been coming down at a good clip for about 90 minutes now. We've dropped to 32F and it's actually starting to stick to the roads pretty good.

Drove from 270/364 west towards st Charles on Hwy 364 to Lake St Louis. Grassy areas covered in Maryland heights and moderate snow all the way to Hwy K and then tapered off from there with no coverage on the grassy surfaces. Pretty to look at. Temperature stayed right at 34 the whole way.

This is a big win for Chris.
He said this one would come back several days ago and it certainly did.
Hopefully, just the appetizer portion of our 5 course winter meal over the next 2 weeks.
