My low tech watching !AccuNotWx!.com for pickneyville, IL continues to show sunshine and patchy clouds with a high of 60. The !AccuNotWx! forecasts have been criticized heavily by meteorologists. This is just a for lolz follow the accuracy for a month.

Dodged a bullet in STL county and other areas nearby with no hail. Those hail reports were insane! Got 0.15" yesterday morning and 0.62" yesterday evening in Northern Wildwood. Total of 0.77." Some areas fortunately received more rain. We need it so badly! Concerning to be this dry in March.

Kinda weird that it was showing as observed and a pds on radarscope but no report. There are 2 surveys this morning. One near Brighton but I think that was from the morning. Don't remember where the other is but it wasn't maeystown EM reported there was nothing in Maeystown. I think both surveys are from the AM. Other is Charlack in north County. Hi Chris, check your DM’s. You may have seen the video but it’s a pretty cool look at what a vortex looks like.

Looks like March is fixing to go OUT like a lion. Indications for multiple mid latitude cyclones. Hopefully some fun weather to track across the country.

Ive had my eye on that 25th trough for a few days. It looks like a big one.
Severe weather looks possible around here and points south, with a snowstorm possible across the upper midwest.

Looks like a 'jog' north on the 0z and 06z runs, of the GFS anyway. "Maybe" no snow around here but that looks like a ton of very beneficial rains around the Midwest. First wish is snow, second is beneficial rains, third is no severe weather. Am I being 'too picky'?🤔🤔🤪🤪🤪

So why no freeze watch/warning with everything blooming?

So why no freeze watch/warning with everything blooming? I know it has something to do with when they deem the growing season to have begun, but I would think things like strawberries may be going enough that they would be in trouble tonight.

So why no freeze watch/warning with everything blooming? I was wondering that as well. Grass is growing, flowers are blooming, trees are budding. Sure seems like the growing season is in full swing.

So why no freeze watch/warning with everything blooming? Thats what I was wondering too the last couple of days. Been telling folks at work. That we have a freeze/frost coming up. Then nothing from NWS. LOL They said growing season hasn't officially started yet. But we are seeing blooming?

NWS mentions the hard freeze in their forecast discussion.
Wonder if they will highlight our area with a freeze warning and/or advisory with this evenings update?

Right climatologically these temps are not unusual, it's just the anamolous warmth cause the early budding.

Out of my parents house by eckert's and everything is in bloom. A freeze could be devastating at eckert's

Right climatologically these temps are not unusual, it's just the anamolous warmth cause the early budding. Of course we would normally expect a freeze. We also would not normally expect everything to be blooming and growing in mid March. Everything is like 2-4 weeks ahead of schedule.

The abnormality is the growing season really has begun way early.
