Fox and Wentzville have pulled the plug for tomorrow. Wonder if having an extended weekend could be playing a role in the decision as well

Fox and Wentzville have pulled the plug for tomorrow. Wonder if having an extended weekend could be playing a role in the decision as well Yeah Fox called early and more JeffCo schools caved. NW dist students were already off for teacher PD day which has been moved to online meetings now. Not many snow days plus already off Mon for holiday equals quicker trigger for a 4 day weekend.

Enjoy the snow even if doesn't all stick well. I'm in Arizona on a trip. The NWS point forecast removed sleet from the forecast. I just looked at a sounding for early tomorrow and the better lift is indeed below the DGZ like Chris already mentioned. So I think there could be some sleet at the onset before it changes to all snow!

The 0z Icon is throwing me a lollipop.🤔🤔 It is at the tail end of the Run 24 hours in so by 6:00 p.m. tomorrow so that's got to be with the colder air pushing in. Hopefully it's all snow.🤞🤞🤞🤞

This will be fun tomorrow... and for some annoying! There will be some breaks in these bands and outside of those bands it may be hard to get snow to stick... but under the bands snowfall may be quite impressive. I also think we have a hint of what is to come tomorrow morning by looking at the snow in northwest Kansas. That is hugging the track of 850mb low.

Some decent returns out aroundJeff city, but that radar needs to fill in! ❄️ It will. But we're fighting a ~15* dewpoint depression. Will be good for wetbulbing below freezing once heavier precip breaks through.

lightning showing up near springfield. So that's interesting I came here to post the same thing. Feisty little system, hopefully it overperforms for someone in the viewing area.

Peeking outside I've got light rain and 35°. When I first looked out this morning there was definitely sleet falling but it's light rain now, 7 miles west of DeSoto.

I hope it fills in because the deformation zone looks like to stay nw, and the heavier just south leaving the metro in no mans land somewhat.
I hope that band is intense otherwise warm.ground is going to keep things less than an inch in the metro
