I think I've only had to water my plants like twice this year...the rains have been timed well to keep a good level of moisture. I hope it keeps up! Only thing I've watered are new plants and transplants. I only really grow berries and the landscaping though. My black raspberry and mulberries have been amazing this year...super abundant and sweet

My black raspberry and mulberries have been amazing this year...super abundant and sweet We have red raspberries coming in now, there were a ton to pick Sunday when we got back from Florida. I've been having a lot of fun fishing under a mulberry tree that over hangs a local lake. Small hook, a bobber and a mulberry. Catches big carp which is a lot of fun, if not something I'm fond of eating.

That’s been on Pivotal for awhile now. I haven’t payed much attention to it but I’ve heard from others it does a good job. I just hope it's better than the AI "art"... I’m guessing you haven’t used DALL-E with Chatgpt 4. I made a snownado set over Lake Michigan with the Chicago skyline. Looked cooler than anything I’ve seen anyone else draw.

Looks like a good soaker tomorrow night with a ripple in the NW flow Models did a good job picking up on this ridge runner shortwave/MCS about 4-5 days ago at least...they did shift SW but came back and been locked in since. As much as we cuss them, the models sure have come a long way, especially in the midrange...like 5-10 days out.

To water or not to water. That is the question.

I watered cause I feel the rains may mostly miss the metro to the south and west.
Mcs looks like a kc to springfield mo track to me.
With just stratiform sprinkles here.

Starting to look increasingly likely we will have super cells around here tomorrow afternoon/evening capable of big hail
Surprised the SPC hasn't upped the hail probs around here yet

So we recently moved to a new home in west county which... as it turns out... has a crazy good view of the air show. I have been watching the prqctice runs the past two days and HOLY COW! I've never had an air show experience quite like this!

Long term pattern is showing a solid drying and warming trend. Looks warm and dry the rest of summer barring tropical visitors. Might be flirting with 100s late next week, certainly in heat indexes if nothing else. The water facet is shutting down with strong ridge building into the Mississippi River Valley. Granted it's gonna take a good month of dry weather to really cause any issues other then outdoor plants needing to be watered daily.
PNA going moderately to strongly negative (cold water off the Pacific West Coast into coastal Alaska and troughiing along the northeast into the Bahamas creates conditions for a prolonged period of ridging over the lower 48 east of the Rockies. Typical La Nina like pattern.

Also, the F-15 EX demo jet, practiced over here the last two weeks, was fun to watch.

I've never had an air show experience quite like this! Oh ,man! I've gone to most of the shows for years (lots of those) but will probably miss this one. Going chicken by questioning my driving. Missed last one with premium tickets for 4 because of weather considerations due to weather. I really envy you. Have fun!!!

I've never had an air show experience quite like this! Drove over this afternoon for practice. Found a great spot 65 yards off the runway. I never miss an opportunity to see the Blue Angels, and they didn't disappoint. The F-15 is amazing to see as well, heck everything is amazing. I can't believe how our nimble the planes are. Highly recommend getting into the valley if you can this weekend.

.50 exactly in st.peters.
To me most of tonight's rain looks to be from kc. To rolla. To cape.
I'm not expecting much north of that based on most wrf short range models.
Only one that gets to the metro is the rap.

Sounds like things will get to dry out after tonight. Possibly too dry. And that's not good, either.
In other news it's 930 and I have the sun out brightly. That should make it good for the air show.

It does look to turn off warmer and drier later next week and into mid-month as a ridge builds across the Central US. We'll have to see how much energy gets thrown this way from the cut-off near Baja, as well as remnants of a system that may develop in the Gulf. Some models show those features trying to phase which could create a rainy spell around/after the 15th(my birthday).

Getting pretty CAPE-y out there with cells develping along/S of 70 out west...might be a pretty active afternoon for the Metro and especially points S/SW.

.25 last night. Feels like it's gonna rain hard tonight with the soup outside Must be some capping or lack of lift keeping storms at bay so far. Definitely a ripe environment for deep convection once storms fire.
