I hope it fills in because the deformation zone looks like to stay nw, and the heavier just south leaving the metro in no mans land somewhat.
I hope that band is intense otherwise warm.ground is going to keep things less than an inch in the metro

I am hoping for no snow sunday night in the metro and all rain so I can go to my families superbowl party and not deal with plowing.

We have about a 2 to 3 week shot from next week to early march. But I personally am leaning more towards rain to cool.

The cold air will really need to try hard to build, but I would be fine being consistantly in the 50s and 60s til spring, ground hog said early spring lol. Im ready for mowing season. It is so relaxing. Having a cold one on the tractor.

Roads are impassable, but not a bit of ice in trees. Definately warm rain.
Should melt nicely today

Im actually supprised I am at 25.8 right now, we might get to 30 to 32, but befor the thick cloud I could see us falling to 18 to 24 before we warm to 27 by sunrise. Good questions snowman.
My lazer thermometer on the blacktop is 22, the concrete is 19.
I could see it getting to 30 and 26 Respectfully by 3 p.m. but would think the frozen ground would fall off steadily after sunset until rain starts.
Than I always Wonder how quick does it take for the warm drops to actually get the surface above freezing.
This is more of a question for the pros
Also I would think extreme wet bulbing is a major factor as well because our dewpoint is still 6 to 9.

Yes if only we could take the intense 15 days we get every winter and make it a month or 2 of temps in 30s.and 20s without the damaging cold, and get snow that would be wonderful.
Also I am not happy at all about the NBM

We did plow some lots on the st.charles side of the river.
It is hard to measure but many areas not a blade of grass showing. I will be interested to see the totals across the area. It is impossible to measure. But definately 1 to 2
