That is John Gonz’s house. Leaves me kind of speechless.

Chris, that aerial view you cut to of house & barn belongs to John Gonz. He is my niece’s father-in-law. He was trapped for while. Luckily, he sustained only minor injuries. I had posted about him that night. He had been at my niece’s house for dinner but left early because of the storm.

Fojginmo, hope that he’s ok.and just a power outage thing. Just heard from niece. Family got to his house. He lives in a home that is partially below ground. They described it, saying it looks like a bull dozer plowed into it, pushing it from front to back. He was trapped in the debris & is being taken now to Mercy hospital. Don’t know the extent of injuries. I feel like we dodged a bullet here. My son& wife have a business on Columbia St. In Farmington & thankfully that place has a huge basement. He assured me they were all fine.

My niece’s father in law, his home is gone & they cannot reach him. He lives near F & A east/SE of Fgtn. He had been with them for dinner & my niece says they tried to talk him into staying till storm had passed but he insisted on going home. He’s elderly & bought a burial plot in last 2-3 days. Socials are ablaze with damage reports.
The back end is just passing imby, can feel the temperature change.

I’ve lost my Tilt 1 somehow. It shows coefficient 1. How do I get it back?

I was watching the velocities as the storm was close (I’m about 5 miles W of Bonne Terre) & noticed what (in my limited knowledge of met.) looked like potential circulation. It had gotten really dark & still so I went outside to take a look. Too much tree cover here to see much unfortunately. Later I saw the news & I ain’t gonna lie, I was a little excited. I miss being able to see the sky these days.

Not much precip here. Wind was ferocious & lots of small tree debris. Only a couple claps of thunder & not much lightning.

Regarding the F0-1 twister down here in St. Francois Co., I was watching the velocities on the radar as it was passing us. I haven’t seen such a strong signal. I was expecting a warning. Now, mind you, I’m just an average weather watcher & I could be completely completely wrong in what I saw & it was just a coincidence. But it got this old gal’s Blood going!

The radar app I used to use is no longer working. What is a good app? I want velocities, storm tracking, etc. Radarscope is great. That's the one I was just looking at. Thanks............ FO

I hope you all don't mind if I ask for prayers. I have been diagnosed with a rare, aggressive type of cancer, leiomyosarcoma (back in the first part of Sept). Currently doing radiation to try & knock the wind out of it so it can be removed surgically. It's the size of a cantaloupe (& still growing) & I feel like I'm pregnant. It has squished my left kidney & basically fills that whole quadrant of my abdomen. Two more weeks of radiation then 4 weeks to 'cool off' then surgery to remove. TIA

The storm that blew through Sunday night/Monday morning left quite the mess here in Terre Du Lac-Bonne Terre. Lots of trees down, large branches etc. The wind was terrible. My sister said it hailed here but I must have missed it. We were puzzled that there wasn't any warnings put out.

What is easiest way to upload from my iPhone? Also was there an earthquake today /this morning?? Someone reported radio had indicated it but didn’t know the strength? Guess I’ll research that too as I figure out how to upload image. Yes, there was a 2.0 earthquake just NE of Farmington. We don't get too many that far north, but they are very common down into the bootheel and western Kentucky/Tennessee. USGS Page for EarthquakeI checked the French Village helicorders. I'd expect to see more than a lazy, wavy tracing even with a 2.0. Still, hadn't heard anything about it so thanks for posting.

I have some pics of it as well. Don't remember how to share them here though. My nephew took several photos & posted this on his FB-- "South Of Chester between 51 and Mississippi. Got bigger and smaller. Never saw it hit the ground then it faded out. Just happened" imgur.com/a/HjNpbL5imgur.com/DsMpCKe

Comment & question-- I have seen clouds (associated with rain/storm events) this spring that I've not seen in a long time, if ever. They are so low hanging it feels like I could touch them. Is there something different in the atmosphere or whatever that is doing it?

You work for Farmington fire department? Yes sir, year #29 I took a couple quick videos from my patio. There was certainly some rotation though it doesn't show on the video. The radar was impressive with the band of red coming at us from N, S & W.

That was impressive~ Last storm that went through I saw a firetruck there. Do you stage at various locations just in case? What moved over my house was scary. No hail though & only some brief winds. Not complaining.

Sun here just southwest of Farmington. House/pet sitting again. This place has a concrete shelter. Hope it won't be needed.

Looks like a wall cloud and funnel... Oh my word!!!!!!!!! I found a video on YouTube by a stormchaser (I'm guessing by the name of the channel) that was less than 2 blocks from from me & he was saying the same thing. I can't believe I saw it.
