A blog is not a reliable source no matter what views it embraces. A stated "reliable source" is NOT a reliable source in my eyes. How many times have news organizations, on both sides of the political spectrum, been burned by "reliable sources". Even CNN, who is disputing this claim can only say they have it from "reliable sources". Yet they hold more credibility with me on their reliable sources than someone who writes from their basement and calls themselves a journalist. Does not mean they are right or the person who rights the blog is wrong, just that an established news organization such as CNN has more credibility in my eyes. And as far as the "liberal" media goes, I am so tired of hearing that statement whenever someone does not agree with the news or when the news does not cover the story you think they should or the way you think they should. Does the mainstream media tend to lean a little toward the left? I do believe it does. But they will report a story no matter what it is as long as it gets ratings. If this injury were true the media would be all over it, as it would be another sensational piece to add to this media circus. I find it amusing that the same people who are denouncing CNN's report that the eye socket injury is not true are the same people that were ecstatic when CNN confirmed that the story told by Officer Wilson's friend to a local talk show matched the report the police had. Sounds a little like the protesters, only believing what they want to believe and denouncing anything does not fit in with their idea of what really happened. Fozzie I'll be honest with you, as much as it pains me to say this, but the Anonymous group has been funneling out more truth (Later confirmed on the news), as it happens. Sure they are radical and their methods could be questioned. But they are dedicated with the operation and search all facts out before releasing them to the public. Of course I take it with a grain of salt until I hear if it is real. I have seen some posts they re-tweet sound a little WAY off the wall for me to believe.

Ok, was wondering if someone from that area could check this out. In this posting, it claims that Ferguson has Dash and Body cams, and they have just recently acquired the footage.... PostYou might want to read that a little more carefully. "The source also said the dashboard and body cameras, which might have recorded crucial evidence, had been ordered by Ferguson Police Chief Thomas Jackson, but had only recently arrived and had not yet been deployed." The structure of the sentence is confusing, but basically it says the cameras COULD have captured what happen IF they had been installed. Ferguson has two dashcams and body cams, but they have not been deployed as of yet. If they had been a lot of speculation may have been eliminated by these devices. In areas where body cameras have been deployed incidence of police brutality and the complaints of people about police misconduct fall by a large percent. According to the NY Times when Rialto, California began requiring their officers to where body camera in 2012 the number of complaints filed against officers fell by 88 percent compared with the previous 12 months. Use of force by officers fell by almost 60 percent over the same period. The fall of complaints was not only due to the offers being more passive, but the cameras help eliminated false reports of police brutality as well. And I love this quote by the Police Chief; “When you put a camera on a police officer, they tend to behave a little better, follow the rules a little better,” Chief Farrar said. “And if a citizen knows the officer is wearing a camera, chances are the citizen will behave a little better.” As far as I can see body cameras are a win-win situation for both sides. www.nytimes.com/2013/08/22/us/in-california-a-champion-for-police-cameras.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0And as far as the reports go about the officers injuries go, nothing has still been confirmed. One thing I did learn in college that has always stuck with me, look at your sources carefully and make sure they are as unbiased as possible. A site that claims they are a "Rag Tag Bunch of Conservative Misfits" probably is not an unbiased website and should be taken with a grain of salt. Fozzie That's why I put it out there. I didn't quite believe it, but wanted someone else to give their opinion, to see if I was on the right track or if I was way off...

We had some issues with the one on the storm pilot. There is a known issue with connectors deep inside. My engineers opened it up, put some dielectric(sp?) jell on the power connectors with the onboard rechargeable battery and that fixed the problem for us. I think I figured out when it is doing it. Seems when the temp hits around the Mid 70's that is when I lose that sensor. Last night, we dropped to the upper 60's and the thing was working great. Then I noticed that the temps were rising over night (As predicted), and when I hit 73.3 @ 3:22A I lost the sensor and it has been out since. Just irks me, because it is sending this data up on the web and it is wrong. It sends out the last noted temp, so right now, where it is in the 80's, it is saying it is 73.2 I am going to keep your post in mind, so if/when it does it again, out of warranty, I will know where to look....

It will be scary indeed. I feel like even if they release iron clad evidence in favor of the cop, Ferguson will erupt if they don't prosecute. No doubt there would be claims of a cover up which would just fuel the feelings of mistrust that has exacerbated the whole thing. You know, I follow a lot of different feeds and pages. I have heard a lot of people claiming they have their own CI's that are giving them info. I will say from reading all them, I am not surprised UFO's or Kennedy has not popped up in them. But I agree with most, the community of Ferguson should be ready! If he is found to have acted within reason, it will be taken bad. If he is found guilty, then the celebration, may also result in nothing good. And lets hope they are not playing the waiting game, thinking everyone will return back to back to normal life. Think about it.. That plane that went missing months ago, that "Crashed" going 200+ MPH into the ocean and never was found... How much do we hear about that?

it also explains why his aim was so terrible and erratic and why he felt it necessary to fire so many times. A police officer family member told me he thinks the chances of there not being a dash cam are slim to none. His words not mine. But he also said if that is the case reasons for not revealing that information don't necessarily lead to it being a police cover up. After the way things unfolded how would a video of Mike Brown assaulted and pummeling the cop look then of him running back at him after taunting him? This is already devastating for the community. If and I mean big if there is a video of Mike Brown doing all of that it would probably make things way worse even tho it would be the truth. The lack of info form the police the first week surely played into presuming possible excessive force but maybe they were trying to prevent this from getting even more out of hand. Sometimes the right thing to do is not always the most honorable and truthful. The big thing, IF there was a dash cam tape, some people would HAVE to answer on why it was not released earlier. It could have prevented a lot of the stuff that has happen since day 1. To release it now (If it went in favor of the officer), would be the equivalent of saying "NANNY NANNY BOO BOO" to the protesters.

Earlier in this post, I was talking about how my unit was displaying ----- in certain fields of my unit display. Well, has been fine up to today. I looked over to the display and I seen the Temp, Humidity and Dew Point was all "-----". At first, I was thinking I did not want to go out and change all the channels and such (I am lazy). So I thought about it, and I realized the Wind speed and BP was still transmitting. So I knew I had to have connection. So I sat back, and an idea came to my mind... "Could it be doing a software update?" So I went over to the Weather Link cable, and looked at the transmitter light, and it was flashing like crazy. More then normal. After about 5 minutes later, the display returned to normal. SO I am thinking when I first got it, it was doing software (Or hardware) updates. Would be interesting to hear if anyone else either knows about this, or has had this happen. Wondering if there is a way to tell what upgrades has been, and when. I notice on my charts for the web, I see some brief interruptions Ok, I was wrong on this. For the past week, I have been losing the Temp, Humidity and Dew, About the same time every day. Aprox 9:00-10:00 am to about 9-930pm. THen the display works. So, I finally got time and called Davis. They said it is weird that it does it during the Day, but they have heard it doing at night when the humidity and Dew point is up. I told him the humidity and Dew has been kinda high the past week or so. So he took my info and is sending me a new ISS. Funny, I figured they would just send the sensor. But they are sending the Whole unit. One positive, he was very nice and pleasant to talk to. Didn't offer excuses like many Customer services do. Just on solving the problem. Down side they are sending it UPS ground, and will take about a week to get here.. On another note, My wife, who was not so sure on getting the station, looked at the temp seen the ---.- and said "Funny thing is, you never know how much you use it, until it's not there..." LOL

If I'm in a situation where I feel my life is threatened, you better bet I will unload my magazine into that threat or at least use about half my magazine which is 6 to 7 shots. I will then reload if needed and be ready if another threat is around. I don't want any chance of that threat being able to harm me. It's my life or his. I don't care if he was armed or not if he was coming at me and didn't stop when a gun was pulled on him. This all changes if the threat goes away when a gun is pulled though. By the way it's a magazine not a clip. Pet peeve of mine. I understand what you are saying. What I am failing to see though, if the reports are true, and from this morning's press conference, some of the reports of him being 35' away is looking more and more true. Why not a Tazer? I also seen the size of this cop. Where not a big guy, he looks to be fit. I really see (Now remember, I am basing this off the information we know so far.) no reason this officer could not have used a tazer to protect himself. Now if it was Brown and his friend charging him, then maybe the use of his regular gun could have been warranted. BUT let me say this, I am no way saying who is right or wrong in this situation. There is just not enough information released to the public to make a certain decision. I am just debating the main part of this situation, of an unarmed individual (And somewhat knowledge of police protocol), of why lethal force was warranted.

Saw the video on Facebook yesterday. So disturbing seeing him on the ground. The bad thing about this now is the protesters only form of justice... IMO... Is for the officer to be thrown in jail and to throw away the key. Just don't see how this ends well. What I don't understand about it though, is even if he was doing what the video says, then don't most officers have tazers?

The latitude law enforcement is given these days regarding the use of deadly force is considerable. If the past means anything, this officer will not spend any time in prison. For the most part all an officer has to do is say is that they were in fear for their life. How in the world can you prove or disprove that? This will not end well. IDT it will end well for him at all. In prison, he will be hunted down, and if he is found not guilty or don't serve any time, I think the city of Ferguson and him will be in trouble. Like Chris mention in the post in the previous thread, Truth or no truth, People don't want to hear it. They have their mind made up. Too bad there was not a Dash cam in that car. This would have been a cut and clear case now.

If you want to read some interesting stuff on this, follow @opferguson on twitter. They are part of the Anonymous group that has been taking down the websites. Some of it is pretty radical, but some is pretty informative. They were the ones that orginised the huge protests a few days ago, that was spread over 57 cities, over several states, and a few places over seas.

Got a question for everyone here. Now that Fourth of July has come and gone. When do you all start to get that sense and feel that Summer is coming to an end. When the Kids go back to school. Or in our town, when they have "Old Settlers", it is kinda the town's Homecoming celebration....

Instead of posting all the future ISS Flybys, I will post the STL link. Now, you can change the location to match you town, but I found there is not much change over the MO/IL areas. ISS Flyby TimesThere are several great opportunities coming up over the next few days... It will look like a bright star, that is moving. Best sighting conditions would be a low lighting sky, but it can be seen with city lighting, just harder to see.

If anyone is headed out to Outback Steak house Monday, you can get a FREE Bloomin' Onion. Kevin Harvick, the driver of the Stewart/Haas #4 Outback Steakhouse car won the Southern 500 last night, barely beating out Earnhardt Jr. IDK the particulars on the deal, if you have to mention it, or print a coupon up. Or if it is at certain locations or not. But worth a mention. If you don't plan to go there, then you can pass this along to your friends who may be going...

I watched the latest episode last night, before i went to bed. And I would say, that the term "Evolution" was kinda loosely used. When I heard it was used in it, I was all alert to see what the explanation was going to be. After watching it, I realized it was more "Adaptation". How nature will slowly change the structure of the DNA to fit the surroundings. Our bodies do this everyday. I know when I started my job, I could not walk into the dairy cooler W/O a heavy coat on. Now, I walk in there with a T-Shirt on and can be in there for a few hours (Now the ice cream freezer is another thing). I really didn't see anything so offensive on the show. Most they talked about was natural selection. And once again, that happens everyday. I guess you missed the stuff about mutation and birth of a species. Two things that would meld well with the creation aspect. I wonder what blocked you ears from that? It was most likely the 5th or 6th beer. Not to mention I was on E-Bay searching for a DMX controller for my Par 4 lights.

Although you claimed we just didn't come from mud you might as well say we did because you obviously don't see a link to previous species. That stupid remark about the Silverback just shows how ignorant you are of the subject. And your right, the discussion is over... I watched the show last night. And according to that show, I will be on the Maury Povach show to see if I am the father of a butterfly. There are MANY Gaps in the evolution theory... I was hoping that we could refrain from calling each other "Stupid" or "Dumb". You just proven that there is a huge gap in Evolution. T.Y.

I am an atheist who obviously believes evolution to be accurate. But I also think the universe was planned because of the intricate incredible unfolding of it and the amount of universal causalities. Oh the horror! You know, when I was more combative and a "Go Getter", I would debate with a lot of people who claimed the "Big Bang" theory. All of them would end with an "I Don't Know" answer. I would ask them "What caused that?" For each option. Eventually they would come to the very end and didn't know what the answer was... And say "No one knows". I would say "I do, God". And don't be in Horror. I would not expect anything less of you to comment on a science question...

I just love reading how all the believers who know enough science to believe in evolution find a way to make evolution fit their belief. It is creative to say the least. Maybe they are God in disguise. People have been interpreting the bible for thousands of year. The bible is the one book, that the Author is not around to tell us what the real meaning it. You can ask several preachers the same question on the same scripture reading, and you will get a different explanation for it. Sure, the main point may be the same point, but the explanation will be different. There are only a few straight and forward points that are hardcore written in stone... Literally. Or written in RED. After that, then most of the Bible can be interpreted however a person wants. Who knows, maybe that is why God had the bible written the way it was, so many eyes can apply it to life and make humans better. IDK, I didn't write it.
But there is enough information out there that humans can not deny there is a form of Evolution in the books. Did we walk out of a puddle of mucky water? Who knows what happened outside The Garden of Eden. I will give you an example. After Eve bit into the apple of knowledge, God sent them out of the Garden. Told them "Be fruitful and multiply." Now, how will they do that. Sure, them two can have kids. But what happens from there? Sure the Bible teaches who Begot who. But never said where these individuals came from. So it leads to believe that there HAD to be other humans out there that the children "Got" with to create other Humans. Otherwise, we would all be, well, I don't want to type the word, because I am sure it would be censored. But, if there is no other humans out there, then the children would only have one option to "Multiply". So that is why I believe there had to be something going on outside the Garden.
Point 2, when God was tired of the Sin on the earth, he told Noah to Build an Arc. Get two of each animal, and his family. He did, and the earth was flooded. Wiping out what was left. Now, that was on that Arc? We don't know. Mabey there was still some creature evolving on there. That would be the next generation of humans. No one knows.
To say "find a way to make evolution fit their belief" is incorrect. We are not "Making it fit". We are explaining to those who have no clue of the Bible, why we believe that it could happen.
And by the post you put, I would have to say you have no bases to even start from. You are basing on you lack of knowledge of what the scripture reads and is taught.
Also your last comment, goes against one of the 10 commandments... Lets see if you can figure out which one...

I really like your views on this. Makes me think about it a little more. I grew up in a very religous enviroment but have fallen away from religion as I have gotten older. I love this show so far and it would be a shame for it not to be shown in classrooms. You know, when I wrote that, I was waiting for a backlash of a lot of PPLE either coming after my views or trying to go after me for thinking this way (The Christians). And I was ready and armed. If needed to, I would pull out my bible (Well, I have it on my computer and can search). But I was pleasantly surprised no one did. One reason I wanted to make a separate category for this, is so there would not be an argument in the middle of the weather section. But when I hit Enter on the keyboard, I was thinking to myself, "If 1 person gets what I am saying, then it would be worth it." Guess you were that one person. LOL I have not seen the second installment of this show yet, but from what I read, they seem to really push the issue of evolution. Many were outraged. Others were outraged that the other PPLE were outraged. It is amazing on what posts you read on FB. I will watch it tomorrow night when the wife has gone to bed (She don't believe in the whole evolution thing). But to give her credit, she would make fun of it, like I do when she watches an old Black and white movie. I mean I have a 55" COLOR TV for a reason.. LOL I evolve... She likes to live in the past...
