Advisories don't trip notifiers Every weather app or weather radio Ive had will go off for a winter weather advisory We are talking the wireless emergency alert. The siren that gored off on your phone for Amber alerts, tornadoes, flash floods. Squalls would be included because of their fast arrival. Blizzards and ice storms, along other winter alerts do not trigger that system.

Any plans or announcements from klsx office about implementing the new snow squall warning? Criteria for the National Weather Service to issue a Snow squall warning include: Visibility of less that one quarter of a mile Sub-freezing temperatures on the ground Expected to last in one area less than 60 minutes Cause dangerous and life-threatening conditions Also would be a polygon like a tornado or storm. Seems like a new message for a 5 minute blizzard I posed that question prior to the short burst of heavy snow 10 days ago...and they said that the snow squall warning has been put on hold until next year. I hadn't even heard about it until i saw it on a radarscope fb page. Everything I've seen since has stated it was tested in the northeast last winter and was pushed nationally on nov. 1.

Chris, tried to send this privately but wasn’t the unknown soldiers identity discovered recently and that he was from Missouri? Wasn’t he re-buried in MO? And if that’s so, who is in the tomb that the soldiers guard now? He was identified around 99. Micheal blassey. There are unknowns from each conflict buried there.

That's what it sounded like. Looks like surge is about to swamp their vehicle now. you still watching? What in the wide world of sports is going on now? His vehicle is streaming as it gets turned by the surge. You can see the water crashing over the vehicle.

Saw a first of the season this morning. I was in Columbia, il and saw the first flock of migrating specklebelly geese flying high. An hour later a flock of pelicans circling in the distance.

66 degrees at 2pm can’t wait for this weather to stick around. I worked the Belleville Marathon from 5-9 this morning. It was nippy but I’ll take it. I volunteered down on West main. Beautiful morning for it.
