Heres the snowfall map from the system yesterday. Look how intense that snow gradient is across eastern Iowa and Northern Illinois. That huge indentation south of Chicago in the snowfield is also rather odd looking Would think it was the NE wind off the 50* lake for that bite off the snow cover I think you're off the mark.

Damn. That green blob that was almost in my backyard is not going to get me like I thought it would. Started moving more northeast

Radar on the Fox2 Weather app says nothing is falling. But I’ve got a wind-driven rain.
Coz - you changeover yet?

Temp is dropping faster now. Down an entire degree in about 3 minutes. 42.6 and dropping.

It sure seems like I see a hook echo develop on the south end near north central jeffco at 4:39 time stamp. This is just south of where the warning is. I saw the same thing.

They’ll have to figure out why STL county sirens didn’t go off at the first warning. Not good. The airport told people to shelter AFTER the storm passed. Arghhhhh

I see the warming but am not hearing the sirens in Sunset Hills. Are they going off up north?

Would someone mind sharing what Dave said for his winter forecast? I don't do facebook. December: colder than normal and above average snow January: bouncing temps with above average rain and below average snow February: very cold with near to below average snow. Oh and a white Christmas! Total snow for season - 17-19”

I have always read your name phonetically as "Mick-Haffin." Like McDonald's. Hahahahaha, me too! That’s awesome. Looks like the cat’s out of the bag. I’m Irish, but not that Irish.

I measured 6.5" at St. Louis University Frost Campus by Chaifetz Arena at around 11:10-15am for the final total! you mean the Chafin Arena, right? Dr. Chaifetz just put his name on the building because he's a doctor and I'm not.

You know, drawing snowfall maps is challenging enough. But if I now have to worry about The shape offending somebody then I think it is time to hang it up. There was one rainfall map for Hurricane Florence that created a social media storm.

Mmmmm...varnish...nasty stuff. Sea foam gasoline additive is a must with today's gas. So the gas I used was from a gas container that I can't remember when I filled. The tank was empty on the actual blower. I'll get 'er fixed. Would've been nice to use though.

Well, the snowblower wouldn't start. It's been like 2 years since I used it, so that doesn't surprise me. Going to have my pop come over to see what we can do about it so that it's ready for next potential system. Shoveling is not going well. I'm still recovering from foot surgery so I can't put boots on (too swollen) and lifting/pushing heavy wet snow around didn't work out so well. Time for the kids to earn their keep.
