The rotation passed a few miles north of me in Waterloo. I have some minor fence damage with a small 3 foot section blown out

I see it directly south of me now, picked it up about 45 minutes ago southeast. Can’t get it focused (except with binos). Shot video of it between trees & it looked like it was moving pretty good. Now seems more stations, but it might be the trajectory. Yep, it is still very bright and easy to spot to my south. I was able to view it through my big telescope.

Balloon should be visible over St. Louis in a few hours? My friend just sent me video of it over Ashland Missouri which is just south of Columbia

I've really lucky here to have seen around 13" so far this winter season. I've recieved a 1/3rd of your total! I know BTRN! I feel for you bro. I've been very lucky as down here it's usually the exact opposite. No doubt you have been screwed over in recent years!

Grass covered here in white and pavement and sidewalks finally starting to coat over though it's a slow process. The warm ground is being overwhelmed though with the heavier snow moving in. Currently have S+

The severe side of the system is pretty wicked PDS tornado warning in the Houston metro Goodness, you can see a debris ball on the correlation coefficient. Large confirmed tornado on the ground down there.

NAM looks great. Looks good for everyone. A nice subtle shift NW which is to be expected. I think I'm in a good spot at the moment in Waterloo if the snowfall maxima is correct on the 00z NAM.

GFS and GEM sure do look a lot alike though. Hoping they are a bit too far north. Thankfully the other models and the ensembles don't really support that far north (not that's a swing in a miss but would rather see the low closer to memphis)

Recent model runs seem to want to scoot the cyclone off to the NE rather quickly as the system rapidly deepens. Quite different that earlier runs especially the GFS. What's the odds this thing stalls out near Chicago as the GFS showed yesterday? Seems with the blocking in place along with a rapidly deepening system that it would want to bomb out rather than scoot off into the Great Lakes before stalling out.

Looks like at least 6" in Waterloo. Great call by some of the vets on here but even they understandably didn't call for that much. That was some of the heaviest snow I've ever seen by total number of flakes. Decent flake size but the amount of flakes was nuts.

I got a few pics of the Eclipse with my Panasonic Lumix DSLR. It is crazy how much better they are than a cellphone camera especially due to the optical zoom.

Sure looks like tight enough rotation now to warrant a tornado warning. I would expect to see a warning any min.
Then again the rotation looks a bit more broad on the next pass so maybe not.

My friend sent me video and audio. He was trapped in his car. He was trying to put a tarp over his truck and had to jump inside the vehicle. The sound of the hail was nuts. He said the hail was golfball sized and then he starting seeing a few baseball sized stones. He said his windshield is smashed. He was horrified. He ran back inside his apartment during a break in the hail. The sirens are still going off. Listening to his audio is horrifying!

Now a Tornado Emergency for that cell. Wow Was there any tornado threat mentioned today? That storm looks like a beast with a confirmed large tornado on the ground and really large hail. Not often you see rotation and purple returns so far from the radar. Right now the Memphis radar is giving the best views.

That storm along the MO/AR border is tagged with 4” hail It also has a PDS tornado warning with a confirmed tornado and TWC isn't live though that's understandable given the day.

Took some video today of the huge snowdrifts between my house and the neighbor's and tagged WeatherNation in a tweet and they asked if they could use it on the air. Now I just got a tweet from The Weather Channel asking me if they could air it. That's pretty cool! No clue when it'll air.
