We decided to open our business, with the possibility of a half day for our employees.
Dropped 2 more degrees in the last half hour to 27* , and still looks like the rain, with Occasional sleet pellet, Mascoutah

BRTN, I was born and raised in Belleville, it's no longer the beautiful city it was 20-30 years ago. We migrated east in 1990 because we saw what was happening, and moved our business east in 2000. Now back to this awesome storm we have coming. Yeah its good for us. But not so much for the folks in Perryville, St. Gen, Farmington and any other backwoods backwards hick h*** hole. If we gett the 12-20" band to run up 44/64 the entire metro will be plastered in white Honest question...have you ever even been to any of those places you just blatantly insulted?
I've been to Belleville and it's no paradise.
I sent you a PM asking if you're OK, because it's clear you are not...and you didn't even bother responding.
Get over yourself, dude.

Same, got the snowblower ready on last week’s non storm, and didn’t get any snow. Today I ran down to the farm and picked up the tractor, getting ready for this week’s storm, so you can also blame me....lol I'm going to do my part to jinx it... just lettung you all know. Tomorrow I'll fill the gas cans, do the maintenance on my blower and buy salt.

I was sitting in the motorhome last night at deer camp, and I felt it. I thought I was feeling things. I was thinking maybe it was the storm rolling in, just west of Vienna, Illinois Anybody else just feel the earthquake? I didn't post until confirmed by USGS, but it was a 3.7 near Williamsville, MO. Felt in Hillsboro MO.

We need this rain to hit in the overnight hours this weekend. We have our biggest Race and Pyro weekend at WWT Raceway fri/sat, not the biggest shows, but a lot of setup throughout the day, with various parts of the show at different times of the day. Basically, pre race , post race, winners circle, airplanes and Air Force also. With it being a double header, NASCAR Trucks Friday, and INDYcar on Saturday, we’ll need a lot of dry time. And for those attending and have in the past, we have some really nice surprises for the fans this year. I didn’t think I could top my wall of fire from prior years, that you see in all the commercials, but this year is really going to be special.

Just a little humor John, hence the emoji....lol Interesting observation this morning when I was going by Eckerts in Belleville. The flowers on the fruit trees looked great and colorful the higher up in elevation. The trees in the lower elevations, only maybe 10-15', the flowers were frost bit or discolored. This was on Greenmount Rd, where the channel that sounds like "box" has a camera on the Eckert house. We can't say fox on a 2fox message board?

Were those your pics from Illinois Storm Alert? Great pics, was it rotating? It did... therebare some good pics in the community FB pages, from the high school looking south over the lake, of a lowering. I got some good video of the approaching structure. The lightning was intense as it strengthened while heading this way.

Wow that was interesting. We were sitting on the patio at Sybergs, in Ofallon Illinois when the warnings came out. When we first got there, I Looked at the radar and it didn’t appear that is was going to be that bad, so we decided to eat outside under the covered patio, boy was I wrong, and they did they intensify fast. But we didn’t miss a beat, we kept on eating as the sirens were sounding. Which for some reason didn’t go off until 3-4 minutes after my phone went off for the tornado warning.

I hope not, we just got back from 10 days in Gulf Shores Alabama/, and I really don’t want to winterize the motorhome again, and the pool boys come out and open the pool the end of April, but the pool heater should take care of that. 😎 And, I still disconnect the home hoses after using this time of year. I highly doubt it gets very cold again. Cooler sure, maybe below freezing a few more times but winter is done I think, of course it was only 2 weeks long. Any ice storm showing up in early April is Lol worthy.

Nice score!!!! I paid $699 👏 BTW, sounds like the same one. I went and picked up a 24” Troy Built Saturday, at the Belleville Home Depot. Used it a little in my parking lot a while ago, and you can’t even tell I had done anything, so I quit. Can’t keep up. I’ll let my buddy plow it, and I’ll use it at home and around the building. I picked up a troy built at lowes in March of 19... was marked down to $299 from $699.

My Davis iOS saying 4.7 degrees. My low was .5 degrees. I'm not removing until this is over. I bought a snow blower (24") two yeas ago and want to use it again. Might wait until tomorrow morning.

Measured 4-6”.
Drove around town, and most roads have had little travel on them, and would guess 5-6” of powder on them. It’s that cold snow, like in Colorado, that squeaks when you drive on it.

He’s correct Bob, even theSt LOUIS Weather Guy can read models 😂 Has anyone looked at the Wednesday storm? Serious question, have you thought of trying to learn how to read the models? They are SUPER easy to read on Pivotal Weather. You don't have to have a lot of weather knowledge to read the snowfall and qpf maps.

We had the big cotton balls, but has since changed over to dime size.
In the 27 years the wife and I have been in business, we have never shut down for weather, until today. With us being in a rural community, a lot of our employees come from the surrounding area. The roads getting here are 2 lane country roads that drift a lot. The main reason we shut down though, we didn't want to endanger our employees, especially with the temperatures what they are. Not so bad at 25-30 deg with this snow, but the combination of the wind, temp and snow, is deadly.
