WEAX,
Are you going to be in town for the 4th Fireworks? I'm going to have some surprises and interesting special effect shells. We have used some of them in our bigger shows, like Fair St Louis/VP Fair, but not in little ole Mascoutah...lol
Shouldn't be that bad of a day for setup as of now, only showing 92deg for a high. I love setting up fireworks when the HI is around 100-120deg, NOT, about as much as I like hot needles shoved under my fingernails.
I was thinking about those guys being up in the lift buckets while there was still lots of lightning nearby. I'm glad someone is willing to do it because you couldn't pay me enough. Wife just told me there were several linemen that were out, during the storm, doing their best to get power restored. Says a lot about them.

There is a lot of corn damage in the Mascoutah area also.
Our power finally came back on around 4:30am. Props goes out to the Mascoutah Power, they were on the downed trees and outages before the rain even stopped.
Also you could definitely see the wind direction in the corn last night. Little lean from n to s.

We have had only .68” of rain this month
Had a chat with our Fire Chief yesterday, and if we don’t get any rain here soon, we may have to postpone our City fireworks until later in the year. Hopefully we get some rain this week and we don’t have to make those decisions.
It really suck shooting shows, and you have too keep stopping the show to put out fires💥

If you have deck jets or fountain, run them at night, it’ll drop it quick, evaporative cooling at work. We’ll run our deck jets and fountain at night and will bring it down 5deg over night. We try to keep ours around 84-85, and if it gets too cool, we’ll turn on the heater. Crazy how much the forecast has changed in a few days time. From a couple of days in the mid 80's then back to 90 to now a high of 80 on Friday! And only mid 80's over the weekend. I'll take it because my pool is too hot! The water is 89F which is crazy for June. It only reached that temp one time all last summer. It isn't very pleasant swimming in anything over 88. So it'll be nice to knock it back 5 degrees or so and I can also finally get out and mow assuming it isn't too wet later this week. It may be perfect weather for the fireman's parade in Red Bud this Sunday for the second straight year. Last year it was in the low 80's with low humidity.

Weather Channel Founder Explains the History of the Global Warming Hoax John Coleman, an award-winning meteorologist and weatherman with sixty years of experience and founder of the Weather Channel, produced a video explaining the history of the man-made global warming hoax, At about the 11:30 mark, Coleman begins a detailed explanation about just how the global warming hoax was started and heated up, including how Al Gore got involved in the movement. (see video below). www.tpnn.com/2014/03/17/weather-channel-founder-explains-the-history-of-the-global-warming-hoax/It’s rising at about the rate of about six inches per hundred years, as part of this inter-glacial period. When North America was covered in a 400 foot thick ice core at the end of the last ice age, the oceans were low, and then as that ice melted, of course the oceans have risen. That rise has been gentle and is not important.”
