Just went out and measured a few spots blocked from the wind, and we have right at 1.5” in Mascoutah. You had a heavier band come through earlier, so I knew you should have a little more than us to the east of Belleville Just amusing we're so amped up about a few tenths of an inch of QPF. amazing what super high ratios can do. Have you tried measuring. I just went out and from what I can tell we got 1.5-2" from round one. The wind has really blown things around. But measuring about 20 different spots all yielded 1.5-2".

They’ve cut in several times already. New set looks awesome. And I could have sworn Glenn said not much being reported with this round. I beg to differ, I’m willing to bet we have a minimum of 1”-1-1/2” on the ground. Will check shortly. It’s going to be a late night at Ch2, they didn’t start the race until 8:30. Which is fine , for news/weather, I only watch Chris anymore, and others sources for news online. I wanted to see the new set. I have my recording set to go until midnight.

I don’t miss that hobby, always helped a friend every year, for 15 years, because I loved doing it. Didn’t care for the long hours though, and had enough to keep me busy with my own business. I was lucky to have good supervisors taking care of the plant for me. That 60 mile drive to work is going to suck this week.
Tilawn - you guys need to get those big blowers they use at the racetracks for snows like these. Mount them on the front of the truck instead of the plow.
Seriously--stay safe. Those 24+ hour days pushing snow suck worse than the 60 mile drive.

Schrapnel I believe was the creator of the Friv-O-Meter Where the hell is the FRIV-O-METER? Who had it last? I know, it’s been so long ago since we got to use it.

I have 3 slabs of baby backs in the pellet smoker for Today’s race, and it is blowing through the pellets, trying to hold the temperature. It’s able to keep up, quit surprised

Correct T, if that was the case, Canada and Alaska would be bug free. Alaska has a skeeter population like you've never seen before, where you have to wear a net over your face during the day. And Canada, when we go up there waterfowl hunting in Oct., the sketers are as big as a small bird...lol 29 degrees, high clouds Im looking forward to the cold. Hope that its solid and extended. At the very least, let’s decrease the bug population. Decrease the bug population.......myth 😊

We must have got a lot of rain over the weekend while I was away at deer camp, and again this morning. I really need to get my Davis sent in and rebuilt. Or, just buy a new one and donate mine to a poor weatherman, or less than fortunate weather enthusiast after getting it rebuilt...lol

I was just getting ready to say the same, we were racing at Gateway 2 weeks ago, and the Pelicans are getting pretty heavy in that area. Snow geese are migrating, but not through the central Mississippi Flyway yet, more central states.
Coming home from vaca, passing Horseshoe Lake, two flocks of snow geese! Beautiful! Those are more than likely pelicans.

That's the way states are supposed to be ran. Federal is there to oversee and make sure things stay in check. Now, ole BJ in Chicago, in putting the regulations all the way to Cairo, the same as the cesspool in Cook County, is just plain wrong. S Illinois is not the same as Chicago.
IMHO, it's the areas that have International flights and travelers, is where the corona has spiked. Another thing, it has been said for weeks, by Dr Birx and Dr Fauci, that the number of cases will take off, as soon as the testing starts, which it has, and of course, all the media outlets feel the need to sensationalize it. And then you have a local news outlet that for some reason, uses CNN news feeds...
The thing is trump hasn't really shut anything down, Mayors and Governors have. So it's basically up to them to open things back up, which I don't see happening, because they will actually probably listen to medical doctors and scientists. Look at what is happening in NY, that will happen in other areas like CA FL and IL, and probably others. This is no time to "get back to normal"

IMHO, There are some sports, and most entertainment, that need to purge and do the natural selection, they have been making billions off the backs of the honest Americans for years....In my best Soup Guy Accent, "No bailout For You"!!!! I wonder if there will be a bailout for the pro sports, movie companies, and other forms of mass entertainment? Pro sports alone is a multi billion dollar industry not to mention the legal sports gambling that is now on hold as well. IL has one of their largest revenue streams shut down as well in regards to the video gaming machines. They were literally millions to some municipalities alone. The economic impact i can’t quite wrap my head around yet.

I just had to look up Jamarcus Russell, because I had never heard of him. But naming our flop storms after him would be perfect after reading about this #1 pick and his $61mil bones in '07, and his short career stats of 18 touchdowns, 23 interceptions and that fabulous 65 rating to go with an astounding 25 cherry fumbles on top. He had it made Absolutely brutal. Sitting in south county with wet ground and no measurable precipitation to speak of. Worst bust I can remember, esp with the WSW. We should start calling this one the Jamarcus Russell storm.

If your bowling in Mascoutah, Jen has the best home made pizza. Dan and Jen are great peeps, and have done a great job with our little hometown 8 lane bowling alley. Mother nature is gonna do her thing no matter what. Bowling is still on so... yay!
