Radar is starting to light up a bit right where the statement said it would. Now let's hope they hold together and get a bit bigger

Just needs to build the cold pool behind it and dive south... hey! I can dream can't I?

Nice jet overnight Monday into Tuesday... with the CAPE/shear- I would not be surprised to see a moderate risk to our north and east... slight risk to near here.

Well, I was about to start rooting for the storms in central Iowa to come here. It looks like they were moving the right direction. But now it looks like the lead ones are starting to make a right turn and will be heading for central Illinois... again.

Again, likely nothing widespread here for a while. Maybe tonight or Tuesday is the best chance. As expected the weekend wasn't much unless you live in the southern and eastern parts, there was more there than I figured. It's definitely getting drier now where the grass is turning brown. Another couple weeks of this and the drought will be back. June is normally our wettest month.

Does anyone else notice the clear sky isn’t nearly as blue as it once was?

Tornado warning near Bloomingtom!. As much as I don't want a drought I also don't want so much rain that I have to keep pumping water off my pool. I'm also tired of mowing. Lol I'll take the rain as long as it stays warm enough to keep my pool water comfortable. Yesterday I drove my daughter to Chicago for her summer internship. That tornado warning came as we were literally getting into the car after eating lunch at Panera in Normal. Opened the car door and both of our phones announced a tornado warning from NOAA. Went back inside and waited for the weather. Cell hit, hard driving rain and wind probably around the 50mph range. Strong enough to blow the outer doors open and make the lids flap on the exterior garbage cans. Warning said that it was a tornado indicated on radar. I had a 180 degree view from the windows and saw nothing. No hail. Another guest said that they had announced the warning on the overhead PA. Not one person acted like there was any concern. Uh, you're in a building where two sides of it are mostly glass with a tornado warning. It felt a little Darwinian.

Any educated guesses on where the moisture from Hurricane Bud is going to after it goes up the Baja?

Big Sky Montana had luscious pretty postcard snow today or last night, so pretty! That near Durango fire I heard has doubled in size so the state of CO shut down the San Juan national forest to any visitors til they get significant moisture, so praying that Baja hurricane hits them with lots of rain or helps in some way! And then comes here!

Its hard to believe anything the short term models are spitting out as far as storm chances considering they change every hour, but I think we have a decent shot at some storms this afternoon and into tonight.

I'm not saying this is what it is but this pattern reminds me of 93. Daily complexes, nightly complexes, and surprise complexes. Pretty much unstable as hell all over
