The interesting thing is now all the stations around here know how the dominoes fell. Things could get interesting

Folks, you can be conflicted but there's nothing wrong with what happened here. Glenn put in his dues and has seniority. They couldn't have made a bad choice either way, but to go over Glenn to Chris would have been fishy. This is the way it was supposed to go. And Chris is well aware that then he and Glenn being so close in age he's probably not going to step into those shoes if Glenn has a long happy career here. It is what it is That is actually not the way it works. Seniority plays no part in this business.

Channel 2+2 not only did that but demoted Earhardt and put Templeton in the lead. Not that there's anything wrong with him...he seems to explain things quite well to the casual viewer...but I've always liked Kent.

Interesting, a few years ago when someone asked in here who would replace Dave I could have sworn Chris said it would be Glenn because he had seniority. Oh well, best of luck to everyone and I sure hope this forum can remain active I realize it may be tough given Chris' new schedule but hopefully he can still freshen up the place and give insights after work in the mornings when he is still awake When the 00z EURO drops Chris will be getting up for work. That's crazy!

That's crazy! I think that is the best shift for snow storms but it sucks for severe weather unless you're talking about some nocturnal flash flood event

Now that the title of "chief" has been earned by Glenn... the watch can begin to see if I get promoted to Lt.Col. in the USAFR later this summer. Thats the big one for me.

I am confident I am not the only one who feels this way. I always loved that you put it out there and forecasted months in advance - I always looked forward to it. Congratulations to you on your retirement and to you Chris on your promotion. Fox2 has always had a stacked weather team.

Given the comments about next week and also those that August seems like it might continue the pattern of next week are we possibly through thed worst of summer? I'm sure it will still get hot - it's summer in St. Louis. But does it look like the there won't be any long duration heat?

Hi was 102. Max dp 77 min do 71. Pretty impressive to have a 70 plus dp with temps 98 to 103. Usually they drop when its that hot. I firmly believe the advisory should of been today as well. But its splitting hairs its just hot and poor air quality. Classically brutal July day and its Friday the 13th.
