Dave has decided to retire. I will miss his leadership and friendship more than anyone will know. Congratulations to Glenn who has been selected as our next Chief Meteorologist.
I will move up to fill the void left by Glenn in the mornings. More to follow later.

This morning sucked as far as the humidity and temperatures.....but had a noticeable drop in humidity this afternoon after the 1:00 hour. It’s hot now but oppressive like it was earlier.

Enjoy retirement, Dave. Congrats to Glenn and Chris. AMS3389 was prophetic with his comment in the last thread Perhaps it was a plant Big brother is always watching. Best of luck to Dave, having retired from the service it is nice to have time to do what you want, when you want. Congrats to Glen, the right choice even though we may disagree due to the corner bias. And Chris, you have some shoes to fill. I hope you find a way to make the mornings your own the way Glen did. I'm confident in your abilities, sir!

As much criticism as the city of St Louis has taken over the years, think about the amazing radio and TV talent that has come out of and has resided here in St Louis. Congrats Dave on your retirement and Chris and Glenn on your new roles. Well deserved and earned.
Weather in St Louis won’t be the same without you!

Combine the Storm Runner and the Rogue Runner and do the weather and news from the front seat of an SUV

In all honesty Chris, I always thought you felt the most comfortable was in the station. Yes, the remotes were great. Love the storm runner shots. But I always felt from your on air personality, you were at home on the camera. I always thought you needed your own personal dedicated spot. Now you need to brush up on your cheesy jokes, and 4 AM comes early (I know, I do it everyday), so start adjusting your schedule. You have a few months to do it in.

Wow, I will really miss Dave. His passion is what got me so hooked into weather when I was a little kid. Good for him and his family!
Chris, good luck in your new role. Wish we could see you at 5 everyday.

I really hope the "I really can't say more" quote was meant in general and not about the Corner comment it was under.
I hope you get to do the remotes and storm runner segments. Love the live FB videos during the severe weather and snow storms. I'm not sure if you like those as much as the station duty but no one else seems to have the social media/computer savvy that you do. That combined with the Corner makes you stand above any other meteorologist.
Congrats to everyone. It will be interesting to see all the changes.

Didnt dave just announce a couple months ago he signed a new contract? But he says this has been in the works for a while. I sincerely hope chris get rid of the music junk in the mornings and adds something of his own flavor. If zimmerman adds music to the evening ill never watch again lol.
