Why did pleasant hill write our afd this afternoon? Think they had either some training or a scheduled backup. It was planned.

GFS is back to pushing the front through Friday, decreasing the chances and amounts of rain, but clearing the way for a potentially spectacular weekend.

FV3-GFS 12Z is just freak'n insane with snow as close as Chicago and Quincy by month's end. Basically shows us going from Summer straight into Winter.

Looks like most of Canada will be filling up with snow as well over the next couple weeks. Maybe an early start to the season? Just as long as we don't cash in all our chips early on and get nothing later in the season.

Pyromania is Saturday night so I hope the front blows through. I got tickets this year. I also have tickets to the Cardinal game Sunday so it would be nice if it was in the 70s

GFS is back to pushing the front through Friday, decreasing the chances and amounts of rain, but clearing the way for a potentially spectacular weekend. Not going to buy that just yet. Models (GFS especially...the old version) was notorious for putting all its eggs in the first basket...when in reality we ended up having to wqit for a second or even third cold front to do the job. I am staying middle of the road...with some wet weather Friday night through early Sunday.

Starting to see signals of the first true autumn cold front getting into the picture this time next week or a little after. Models are building a sizable trof into the central US...

The gfs and FV3 would have me bullish on a Hurricane Sandy redux with active tropics and some unusually cold air around heading through October.
I'll settle for 70s and a nice breeze at this point though.

Had a few rumbles of thunder last night around 10 or so. Just had a very light shower go along with it, not enough to get things wet even. Looks like a good weekend coming up...hopefully. Then maybe (gulp) 40's next weekend?
