That precip up in MN sure is training from west to east. When did that last happen here in MO?

I don't do shows for Pyromania anymore, but I do have my own Pyro to do this weekend, at Gateway, The NHRA Drag Races.
For those not going to Pyromania, Don't forget to come on out to Gateway this weekend and take in some of the fastest cars you'll ever get to see. The Top Fuel cars are simply amazing.
Pyromania is Saturday night so I hope the front blows through. I got tickets this year. I also have tickets to the Cardinal game Sunday so it would be nice if it was in the 70s

We did a drive up to Niagara Falls last Thur-Friday, and the weather up there I thought was warm for them in the 80's. On Saturday morning we drove up to Canada Tire Motorsports Park, in Bowmanville Ontario to watch a friend of ours race. It was in the mid to upper 80's up there, which you would think is very warm for this time of year in Canada above the lakes

As I was leaving Saskatoon Monday morning Sept 10, about 8 AM there was some sleet mixing in with a light rain. My car thermometer read 39. By the time I got to Regina a few hours later it was sunny and in the mid-70s

Just a couple days left of this sauna like air mass and then Summer's back will be broken with what looks to be a couple weeks of Hoodie weather with a warm day (75-85) mixed in here and there, but otherwise it will definitely be less humid and fell more like Fall.

Those supercells up near Jacksonville are trying to rotate a bit...I'm tempted to chase those just to see if some nice wall clouds develop, if anything.

Just got in from cleaning up minor but plentiful amounts of tree debris from the storm that hit us around 3:30PM.
In a very short time: Torrential downpour of 1.25" Peak winds gusty around 35mph Frequent and close by lightning hits Possible very small hail (heard but couldn't find any
Was not expecting anything quite that strong.

It’s amusing seeing so many people complain about the heat and humidity anymore.......when 99% of them don’t work out in it every day all day long. I’m not just referring to the group either. Every where I go someone is complaining about it. I honestly don’t think the last week has been all that bad but I’m use to it I suppose.

Chris's forecast has the coyotes howling. I guess they like the idea of tropical moisture moving in to the southwest

Calendar wise, I guess fall starts tomorrow. It's almost like mother nature is throwing the switch tomorrow. Can't believe what the temperatures for next week look like.

I honestly don’t think the last week has been all that bad but I’m use to it I suppose. just speaking for myself, our school building is a 1966 dinosaur brick-pizza oven with no central air in the main hallways, so we wait every year for the big cool-down from summer to make hall duty, walking around, etc, a little more bearable (the worst is our supply room, which is on the 2nd floor and has no air or ventilation). Its more of a nuisance dealing with that while having to be in "casual dress" clothes. I'll also say, the 90's and humidity on weekend afternoons has made the start of little-guys soccer a drain, it might be the biggest reason I want this crud gone.

I want "this crud gone" so I can mow less frequently and do it without being a puddle afterwards. ComoEsJn, I remember the days of no air conditioning in our classrooms. Not good times.

I complain because I can't stand the hot/muggy weather. My kids play soccer and it's not fun running around a giant field when it's 90+. I look forward to a quick fall and a deep dive into weather.

People complain more when it is brutally hot in the shoulder months. We had mid 90s and humid starting in early May and one of the hottest Mays ever. To get that again in late September adds insult to injury. That said, the end is near and I am psyched because next week looks amazing.
