The dark band of precipitation moving in from the north west lasts for about 5 minutes. A nice moderate snow burst . Sticking to cars and grass, definitely not the roads. It looks very spotty after this initial batch.

The union snow hole, alive and well. The Union to Ballwin snow hole. Some say as mysterious as the Bermuda Triangle

Looks like one of the heavier areas of the band is coming straight for Belleville with convergence from the second band we could end up in a 'mini' jackpot zone.

That was one of the hardest bursts I’ve ever seen. It was certainly white out for about 15 minutes in eureka.

That was one of the hardest bursts I’ve ever seen. It was certainly white out for about 15 minutes in eureka. I have to agree... that was one impressive 10 minute blizzard! Made my wife go driving in it I love to drive in the snow. That was some of the heaviest I have seen in a while. Only lasted about 10 minutes....but WWA was a good call...roads were slick. I think accumulations in the WWA were much too high... but the net effect warranted it. FYI... NWS said earlier that snow squall warnings have been putnon hold until next year. this surely would have been a good candidate for one.

Wow hit the snow at St James on 44. It was intense! Traffic went from moving 75-80 down to 35-40 within 1 mile. Whew, surprised we got through it without someone losing it.

I would say visibility dropped to under 1/8 mile in the most intense stuff. It was kinda scary. Heavy traffic with lots of trucks
