Wow! Pouring snow along with lots of leaf drop though for a second I thought the leaves were monster flakes.

Had heavy snow mix change to heavy snow for about 3 mins and watched the ground turn from bare to almost white in that time. Settling to a light snow now. Looking at a heavy dusting.

So it looks like a second band is dropping more SSE.
Might clip us again.

Still looks like we'll catch the southern end of the second band possibly worth another heavy dusting to quarter inch giving us close to a half inch if it all comes together.

I went out and watched the squall come through...that was impressive! Easily 30mph+ gusts and instant whiteout. Impressive arctic front for early/mid November...

Holy crap. That gust had to be in the 40-45 mph range. Brought a burst of snow to That might have been a supercell. The TSTL radar is showing what appears to be a mesocyclone or at least a mesocyclonic like wind profiles in the Jefferson County and St. Clair County cells. At least it did for a few frames anyway. The wind shear in the sfc-to-3km layer is about 25 kts so that wouldn't be totally unexpected.

It was pretty much a white out up at Bowling Green. Took about 2 minutes and the highway got covered and slick as can be. I pulled off at Bowling Green for a few minutes, and by the time I got back on the road it was over. Gravel roads up here at Mark Twain lake are icy.
