Well... I don't think I could be more happy with how the past 24 hours have played out. It is never perfect...the measured totals up north were more than explicitly forecast...but I think the overall forecast worked out quite nicely both yesterday and again this evening. I haven't heard any complaints...which for a winter forecast is pretty rare. I am heading to bed...have a good weekend all!

Euro has about 24 hours of light snow starting Sunday night through Monday. Wouldn’t accumulate much but would be nice

Well we did get some flakes here with a light dusting on the deck and the cars, nothing on the ground .... snow has been very hard to come by down this way

Hey STGOutdoors..anything moving/chasing out there? I am kinda disappointed this cold snap will come to an end the same day I finally get in the stand. I would have to think this cold will get them moving. You must be freezing!

Very nice burst of heavy graupel around 8:00 pm last night quickly changed to large flakes/heavy snow. Only lasted about 10 minutes, but was very intense along with 35-40 mph wind gusts. Covered the ground nicely.

The 00z Euro was the perfect I-44 light snow event... with a band of 2" right along and about 20 miles either side of I-44 from SGF through STL...book it!

I fully expect we are going to relax the cold and have no trouble with a couple of weeks of somewhat mild temperatures. If you want a good winter... you need this to happen to finish setting the plate for what should be a cold/very cold heart of winter this year... and I suspect pretty close to normal snowfall season (now to April). And...as I've said before...a "normal" season will seem like a lot when put up against the snow drought of the past couple of seasons. |
