Rain - 0.75 since 12:15p. KMA Everytime I look outside there is less and less snow.... beyond aggravating I have about 2"-3" of slop left.
Look at the radar storm total. It's Jan 11-12, with a legitimate southern storm that STARTED as snow, and I have 2"-3" of slop left.

Temp finally down to 32*.....oops, just went back to 33*. This layer of snow looks like cumulus clouds. I don't think I have ever seen a layer of snow this lumpy. Back down to 32*. Most likely 32.8 since I know it just changed.

I get we are bummed that a lot has melted, but can't we just be happy that things are getting back closer to normal? This winter should start a three year run of better winters. Just my hypothesis and thoughts on the situation. Pattern looks great going forward too.

[br I agree, yes the melt is disappointing... but relax tomorrow and we can start hyping next weeks.... should be solid cold behind it.. Right???

Is this the last blast of snow with this system? As far as any additional accumulation possibilities... Yes. But flurries and drizzle are likely to continue through the night and a good chunk of tomorrow that don't amount to much if anything.

Is this the last blast of snow with this system? Probably. I think there could be some lingering flurries/showers tomorrow, along with some freezing drizzle.

Pavement dusting over here now. Should get enough to at least spruce up the snowpack.

I would have rather saw nothing than all that rain for this.
At least it will help the ground look fresher

I prefer the lighter, fluffier snow. Though every kid around town got out and built snowmen. I didn't make it to the woods. Roads to Catawissa were in decent shape, but couldn't get the truck the quarter mile to the barn. Just too slick when the snow packed down. I didn't want to get stuck and have my buddy get the tractor to pull me out.
