Ya Chicagoland gets down to -30F across the board Thursday morning. Good luck WSC If you start getting to cold just think of Goldy hitting a homer on a hot July day at Busch to warm you up Jersey came in yesterday actually. I could make it my last layer of clothing, but I dont want to stretch it out. Plenty of time to troll the Cubs fans when it warms a bit.

So close to the record on the euro. Never mind, smoke it Thursday morning. -30 is my goal. Do they have heated wheel-wells up there? Must be sold out. Couldn’t find them on Amazon.

Are models showing potential winter weather next week or just rain? I'm sure Snowman has profound confidence that it will be all rain, but what about other opinions?

First storm is rain, then midweek could be a wintry mix in the region. Could be a substantial storm too. GFS and FV3 are almost identical in track but there’s huge differences in timing, p-type, and inherently, cold air availability.

It's all a matter of what you are used to Crazy how it will get to 95F in the summer there. Good example of a true continental climate

Cpc for week 2...slightly enhanced odds for below norm temps, slightly enhanced odds for above normal precip...better odds from n mo to chicago. That said, this combination cld mean slightly better odds of snow days 8 to 14. As for cpc hazards, the previous heavy rain threat was cut back to the lower ms and oh valley.

So a 1 day arctic blast followed by 4 days near or above 60. That averages out well above normal. That is just sad. Our epoc february is going to start out so far above normal and muddy that itll be hard to finish below normal. Wheres the cold fron. Its almost 30..again warmer then expected.

Francis Howell district just closed for tomorrow too. I'm glad, my daughter does not like to wear a coat and often opts for just a hoodie.
