So this is what happens when your yard was already saturated ,then you get 2 inches of rain followed by temps of 10 degrees. This is all on an incline too, so you can take a wrong step and slide downhill for a good 30 feet.

Dang It Snowman! You do realize you’re causing the winter problems.
1. Uncover your furniture. It won’t snow if your patio is winterized.
2. Put that shovel away. Bury it in the garage so you have to move everything out to get to it.
Gees. No more complaining until you’re properly unprepared for a winter storm!

The shovel is for picking up dog crap, not snow, lol. The yellow tidy cat box next to the shovel is to put dog crap in. Lol

12z ggem is as good as its going to get for Monday-Tuesday and it's still not enough for STL.
So, several hours of a wintry mix Sunday, then more rain early week, then late week has a little potential.
We will be down to about 4 weeks where a true snowstorm is possible after that.

Teleconnections would support a system late next week in our neck of the woods, but I'm just not sure we are going to be able to get the system to dig enough. The GFS is trying.

GFS does show snow on the ground here Sunday and later next week. At least all models aren't completely snow-free.

Might be a good set up for late week system though. If you discount the euro. Not going to discount it. Its a go to for me. Just saying theres a chance. I wont be truly interested unless euro comes around.

February continues to look very active with models showing storm after storm entering the western USA. Just a matter of time till St. Louis cashes in on one. IMO

Euro has come in further south for next week at this time with a low in southern Missouri.
Models are really struggling with strength on the lows.

Why are we still looking at early week..it's obviously going to be nothing but rain. If we get anything else it'll be late Sunday night or Monday morning, but models seem to have it 33-34, shockingly.

Oddly enough, there’s very rough agreement between the GFS, FV3, ICON, and 12z Euro for the 7th day storm. Intensity is varied quite a bit, but track is pretty solid. They’re within I’d say 150miles of each other.

Short range models are pretty adamant about the split, and it’s gotten wider as we’ve gotten closer. Only the longer range models are spitting out anything of note.

Interesting picture from Kent County, Michigan. Called a "ghost apple." Ice coats a piece of rotting fruit. The fruit shrivels and falls out leaving the ice behind

Not sure if the euro has a wind bias...
But it shows 60 mph wind gusts on Tuesday.
That could be impactful if things remain swamp like.

That would be great maybe it will increase temps into the 80’s and become sunny for 5-6 days that might be enough to dry things out.

If you had to work in it and travel on it with your life at stake and $80,000 worth of truck and equipment (replacement value) you would think entirely different, I 100% guarantee it.
