My of GPS says 55 South is faster I'll probly take that route unless the radar explodes when I'm leaving I'm a little bitty baby bit upset I'm going to miss this snow but I'll be in grand Turks and Dominican Republic the next week on a cruise So that should help me from getting to mad about it ;-) Thanks for the help

Have to say I'm loosing interest quickly with this stretch that was looking so promising. This winter has been far from epic IMBY.

In my opinion if you exceed 20 inches of snow a winter here that is epic. Especially as trands are decreasing each year. Also just bought salt. Last pallet left and 2 bags of magnesium chloride cost me 47 bucks. Talk about inflation

Well, I'm not sure what to make of these sleet and zr reports. Glad to see something is falling, just hoping it kicks to snow shortly after onset.

Saturday night looks very weak. Maybe a dusting and some freezing drizzle. Who knows about Tuesday. Way to far off. I can’t complain , I’m sitting at 25-26” in the year with the chance to break 30” by the end of the year. The last time we had a similar year was 13-14 where we had about 30” in the metro.

I think 40”+ would qualify as epic. 30-40” is excellent/very good, 20-30” is good. 15-20” average. 10-15” marginal. 0-9” unacceptable.

Yeah i was going to mention that things are evaporating very quickly when it comes to the next few days. Se ridge is flexing muscle beyond day 5 too. The gfs does get pretty active at eom but with that se ridge, we dont stand to get much snow.

Last pallet left and 2 bags of magnesium chloride cost me 47 bucks. Talk about inflation This winter, as it stands now is about normal. No big snow storm progged for a while, so its hard to say that it is epic. That word is used too much on this forum. I think something that is a once a generation...better yet, once a lifetime shld be called as epic but nothing less. If we get more snow, and i think we will, it will just be above average.

Last pallet left and 2 bags of magnesium chloride cost me 47 bucks. Talk about inflation That's only 5-6" above average...not epic at all. And I haven't even hit 20" this season...I think I'm sitting around 15" total. I only measured 7" during the "big storm". This season has been way different than the hardcore wintry seasons like 09/10 and 13/14. Long stretches of mild, snow less weather made this season pretty lackluster overall, IMO. Still 100% better than the last several...but I'm not impressed nor satisfied at this point.

The January storm was epic for many. You don’t see metro wide numbers that big. It was unique and long duration.

Ok but just the fact that we have had to salt or treat almost every week this whole winter is something. Plus yesterday was so nice. I wish it could be 75 or warmer the rest of the month and jump into severe weather season. I'm sorry but this winter has for me at least been way too long o also suffer from s.a.d and this winter has been the worst of my life for that. Just cloudy cold and snowy and rainy way too much.. We are looking at a 5 month cold season. To me this is too long. I personally do miss the winter of 2012. The 70s that we had very frequently In. The winter was awesome and I could work outside all year long without s.a.d. I just hope this is a fluke. And we go back to shorter winters. Otherwise I'm moving south lol.

Not here. My irrigation company longest we went was 3 weeks in December. Other than that we have had to salt clayton lacking garages every single week. From refreeze and rain that froze. Or a dusting of snow. Plus as the piles melted and refreeze every single night It has been exhausting. And all of our company wants to go at each others throat cause we get no sleep. We all agreed this is the last year for it Its not worth the extra money if we can never be with are families.
