Speaking of Radarscope, how do those of you who use it on Windows have any thoughts good or bad? Thinking of getting it this week as we finally acquired a Windows 10 machine. Thanks... I still primarily use Gibson Ridge GR Level 2 Analyst on my Windows PC because you can do more with it, but it is very pricey. RadarScope is a very reasonably priced alternative for the casual user. Works well for me and I would highly recommend it. I think you will want the Pro Tier 1 subscription which is fairly cheap at $10/yr. That gives you access to the 2 panel display and super-res reflectivity and velocity. Though I wouldn't necessarily recommend it, I actually have the Pro Tier 2 subscription which is pricey at $100/yr ($15/month), but it gives you access to the 4 panel display, 30-day archive, hail icons, and shear contours. Also Pro Tier 2 is a multi-device / multi-platform subscription which allows you full use on all your devices (Android, Windows, Apple - e.g. I use it on my Samsung phone, my AppleTVs, my Windows PC & Laptop, and my wife's IPad). My one complaint so far is that the archive mode seems a bit glitchy and unreliable on my PC. Hope that helps... Thanks for the quick and detailed response. I'm definitely a casual user so GR Level 2 would be way over my head. My Android subscription, which is used on 3 devices, is the Pro Level 1 and that would be what I choose for Windows. Didn't really know Pro was available on Windows as I've not been to the Microsoft Store yet.

Yep you can do Pro Tier 1 on Windows but unfortunately since it's a separate platform I think you have to get a separate Pro Tier 1 subscription. Just to clarify, and again I'm not recommending this, if you'd already had a Pro Tier 2 subscription that would work as is with Windows without a separate subscription. But unless REALLY need those extra features it's not worth it. It's still far cheaper to have two Pro Tier 1 subscriptions than a single Pro Tier 2 subscription.

I have tier 1 with an Allisonhouse subscription
The Allisonhouse subscription lets you view storm reports, mesoscale discussions, watches, outlooks and a few other things

We’ve had snow on Easter in the past! Dave would always say after April 15 we are usually done with winter!

Easter falls on the first Sunday after the first full moon after the spring equinox Correct it can fall as early at March 22 and the latest can be April 25 depending on the first full moon. If I remember correctly that is.

If I remember correctly that is. That sounds about right. I've always used tax day as the breaking point for winter.

MJO is still forecasted to retrograde back to the cold phases of 2-3. I’m expecting one more storm for the season. However, it’ll be annoying and no one will want it due to the ground drying out and some comfortable 60 and 70 degree days.

Per Wikilpedia....... Easter does not have a fixed date, so it falls at a different time every year. The celebration is based on the lunar calendar - Easter is scheduled to fall on the Sunday that follows the full moon on or after March 21. This is known as the Spring Equinox
An equinox is commonly regarded as the moment when the plane of Earth's equator passes through the center of the Sun, which occurs twice each year: around 20 March and 22-23 September. In other words, it is the moment at which the center of the visible Sun is directly above the Equator.
en.wikipedia.org. Easter will always be between March 22 and April 25, though.

I think snowman already mentioned it but it's now becoming fully realized in my mind that the models come in an hour later now.
I am sad.

Looking like a pretty good snowstorm for me here in Denver during the day Wednesday. Could be a record setter in terms of central pressure. Thing just bombs out as it goes into Kansas. Would expect some severe weather with a strong storm like this as well.

Speaking of severe weather, models aren't too thrilled about instability developing Wednesday but it looks like there will be relatively clear skies for part of the day before the stronger ascent arrives as dew points rise to around 55-60*F. I'm wondering if they may be underestimating the amount of destabilization. Shear is once again off the charts and near-surface winds should remain backed which should support a tornado risk if enough instability develops.
Once the true cold front comes through Thursday a return to winter is in store with a deep trof becoming established across the Midwest and Eastern US.

Woke up to a cold house and a furnace that won't run. Yay. At least it isn't bitterly cold.

Light sleet in Arnold. Got in my car and it's bouncing on the windshield. Tinkling sound. A little rain mixed in and maybe a few flakes.
ETS Brief and fine
