Surface low track for next week looks so good on the euro.
Hopefully the upper levels look that good too

Dry air is currently winning the battle in Festus. Temp dropped to 23.

The extent of the radar returns on the northern side is more than I was expecting. And the returns in central MO are very robust.

Unfortunately the Euro will go down as the absolute worst model on this storm. Every other model predicted the dry air, it had 2-3” for the metro even 6 hours ago. Tuesday night is very borderline for the metro temp wise . The models have a good track but the rain snow line is just west of the metro. Never a good sign.

At least I have gotten to see a burst of snow in Belleville today.
I know I've been pessimistic about this.
And still am.
But I wish everyone good luck

For STL, St Clair, monroe, and Madison counties I Don't think we see more than a dusting No more than a dusting in Monroe? Some of Monroe is south of Randolph. What? I'm not so sure about that but I have to travel to Edwardsville today so I'll likely miss out on most of it and I'm not happy. My friend is reporting snowflakes in Troy Illinois.

The radar looks pretty good
I still think dry air will win out eventually but hopefully most of us can get a good inch down before then

Euro is icy/snowy along and north of 44 Tuesday night If we could get the southwest part of the upper level jet stream to separate from the northeast portion such that we get a jet coupling setup then that storm could wind up even more. Being within 120 hours I'm not sure a bigger change like that is in the cards not, but there's probably still a window of hope however small.

It's snowing really hard In Belleville right now. but flake growth is garbage. The radar is really deceiving tho. I hope it works out.
