Lift is definitely starting to wane judging by the last few radar frames. Once that happens, the dry air will take hold again. Most will be lucky to get an inch from this...accumulation is slow even under the heavier returns. Would you consider me in the "most" category? Jury still out here in my opinion.

BRTN, just made the journey home from Alton. Approximately 35 miles. As you said it was snowing pretty good. Roofs were getting covered and some streets were getting slick in places. Moving on up to north end of Godfrey, snow intensity was down considerably. Then Brighton I must have hit a lull, not much happening when I passed through. Picked up a little out your way then by the time I got to 16 a few flurries on up to Medora. The last five miles home, an occasional flake. I would call what is falling at the moment would be a light grapple.

It should be interesting to see farmington over the next 90 minutes...the returns heading that way are hefty

Have to say that there's not much in High Ridge. About 3/4" on grassy surfaces, but the roads are fine. Elevation hasn't helped much here 😁

Just going by looking out the window I would think we would have 2-3" by now.

Really is erratic. Flake size and intensity, independent of one another, seem to increase and decrease every two or three minutes.

Dang, Farmington looks to really have lightened up. WTH? Pouring snow currently. Flake size has improved

Just under an inch in Ballwin. Salt shaker of death is rearing its head.

Now have the good stuff falling. Snow flake size and intensity increasing. Perhaps, no more issues with the dry air so we can see it accumulate down here where no one lives.

Snow has really slowed down here .... guessing 1/4 to 1/2 inch so far That's about what I'm eyeballing in Alton...a 1/2" more than I was expecting but still disappointing knowing what it could have been. Dry air ate this thing alive even though snow was able to break through.

A guy on the DGS just said that 370 was basically a war zone. Complete ice rink, Cars upside down, near Armageddon. Can anyone corroborate this?

Rock salt doesn't appear to be doing much on secondary roads with temps in the teens.

Guy said that he had seen 15 accidents in a very short distance. I guess the disconnect is that the modeling had suggested that the biggest problems would be on a Northwest to Southeast line through Franklin and southern Jefferson County.
